Tori Spelling has five children, but her eldest son, Liam, stole her heart the moment he was born.

"Happy 17th birthday to the first love of my life to grow inside me," Spelling, 50, expressed on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 13. "I love you @liammcdermott."

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star made Liam's birthday extra special by serving him breakfast in bed.

Spelling shared on social media a photo of the breakfast spread, which featured red velvet pancakes as a yearly tradition. This year, she added a twist with a side of thin mint cookie pancakes, along with bacon and syrup.

Liam is the oldest child of Spelling and her estranged husband Dean McDermott. They also have daughters Stella, 15, and Hattie, 12, and sons Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. McDermott is also the father of Jack, 25, from his previous marriage with Mary Jo Eustace.

Even though Spelling continued the pancake tradition for Liam, this is the first time she celebrated his birthday alone since she separated from McDermott last year.

McDermott revealed the end of their relationship on Instagram in June 2023, but later a source shared with We that Spelling and McDermott, married since 2006, were not looking to divorce despite the situation.

In a statement to the Daily Mail five months after their split, McDermott openly discussed how his problems with alcohol played a significant role in their separation.

Alcohol used to make me feel good. I kept feeling good until it reached a point where it didn't anymore - it led to me being alone," he shared in November 2023. "I ended up drinking a fifth of tequila every night, seven days a week, and taking a few prescription medications by myself, even though my wonderful family was in the next room."

In June 2023, McDermott reached a breaking point. Spelling supported him and suggested he seek help. He then decided to go to rehab and eventually transitioned to a sober living facility.

During his rehab journey, McDermott made the decision to keep his distance from his five children with Spelling.

An insider shared with Us exclusively in November 2023 that Tori has been very protective of their kids due to Dean's rages and outbursts. The source mentioned that despite Tori's efforts to save their marriage, both she and McDermott simply want each other to find happiness.

The exes were spotted together at a party at Dave & Busters in Los Angeles earlier this month. McDermott’s girlfriend, Lily Calo, was also present at the bash on March 6. However, Spelling’s boyfriend, Ryan Cramer, was not seen at the event.

It is possible that the party was held to celebrate Spelling and McDermott’s youngest son, Beau, who turned 7 on March 2.
