In addition, there is also a plethora of hidden details for fans who wish to watch the movie multiple times or perhaps on their home televisions. The process of discovering new elements will undoubtedly add an element of excitement for those who appreciate such things.
You can watch the film’s trailer in full below:
Mike’s Dream Theory book
Mike (played by Josh Hutcherson) is depicted in the initial scenes of Five Nights at Freddy's engrossed in a book titled Dream Theory. This suggests that the book enables him to delve into recollections from his younger years involving his abducted sibling, Garrett (portrayed by Lucas Grant).
However, it also supports a fan theory suggesting that the entire FNAF game is actually a manifestation of a dream. Some players argue that the franchise's events originate from the imagination of the crying child, who was first introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's 4 and has endured traumatic experiences involving animatronics. Nevertheless, numerous Reddit users disagree with the theory's validity from the outset.
Mike’s 6am wake-up call before starting the security job is also significant, with 6am being the well-known ‘safe time’ for making it through another night in the games.
The security office
YouTube/Universal Pictures
Visually, the security office is a huge Easter egg in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, getting its detail down to a T.
Linking back to the game, Mike's security office in the movie mirrors the original Five Nights at Freddy's video game. Fans can spot familiar elements like the fast food wrapper, striped drinks cup, and the "Celebrate!" Fazbear poster, all accurately represented. The monitors and doors to the hallways also remain unchanged. In contrast, Mike's security briefing in the movie differs as it is presented as a VCR recording instead of the eerie phone call from the video game. The security camera footage also takes some inspiration from the first 3 games.
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria

The pizzeria's design also pays tribute to the original video game series, featuring classic elements such as the stage, party area, pirate's cove, backstage, and storage areas. The style and layout of the place give a sense of being inspired by a combination of the first two games, before the franchise branched out into various locations.
The arcade area within the restaurant is also dedicated to Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, allowing players to venture into additional sections of the pizzeria as a young protagonist.
Sparky’s coffee shop
Aunt Jane (played by Mary Stuart Masterson) approaches babysitter Max (played by Kat Conner Sterling) and her brother with a proposal to vandalize the pizzeria. The group decides to gather at Sparky's, a coffee shop.
In the expansive universe of Five Nights at Freddy's, Sparky has a connection to an urban legend related to the original game released in 2014. Speculations were made about the existence of an additional animatronic character named Sparky the Dog. Some players claimed to have discovered it and shared screenshots on social media. However, it was later disclosed that this was all a fabricated story.

The group’s server also has a nametag with “Ness” on it, potentially hinting at the nickname of longtime Five Nights at Freddy’s character, Vanessa.
YouTuber appearances
YouTube: CoryxKenshin / Scott Cawthon
A notable Easter egg in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie is the cameo of popular YouTuber Cory Kenshin.
Known by his username CoryxKenshin, this content creator is credited with contributing to the immense success of the video game. In the film, Kenshin portrays a taxi driver who engages with two pivotal characters.
Alongside this, 8-Bit Ryan, Baz, Razzbowski, Dawko, and FusionZGamer appear in background photographs.
Springtrap
Scott Cawthon, the creator behind the FNAF franchise, has announced the development of a new game titled FNAF: The Movie. Fans were thrilled to learn that this game will focus on the plot of the film, with hints that the notorious character Springtrap will be making a comeback.
Fortunately for fans, their beliefs have been validated. In Five Nights at Freddy's 3, a game set 30 years after the initial events, a character known as Yellow Rabbit, commonly referred to as Springtrap by fans, makes an appearance. Players must fend off Springtrap's attacks while unraveling the mysterious history of William Afton.
In the movie adaptation, Afton takes on the identity of Steve Raglan and persuades Mike that the Fazbear security job is his only remaining choice.
Balloon Boy
Scott Cawthon
Balloon Boy, first introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, plays a significant role as an Easter egg throughout the movie. Despite not being part of the main cast, Balloon Boy quickly becomes involved in the action. He makes his first appearance when Mike opens the security office locker to get his uniform and is last seen in the post-credits scene with the taxi driver.
Jeff
Jeff is an Easter egg who is so subtly mysterious that he isn’t even listed with a credit on IMDB.
Max's brother, Jeff, takes the initiative in the plan to ruin Freddy Fazbear and attempt to get Mike terminated from his job. Unfortunately, this also makes him one of the first casualties in the story.
Nevertheless, Jeff's name may have a deeper significance. In the video game lore, Jeff Wilson serves as the manager of Fredbear's and only appears in three minigames. He is also depicted as a business partner of a character named Henry Schmidt, who happens to share the same surname as Mike's character, although this connection is never mentioned in the film. Furthermore, the video game series introduces a character named Michael Afton, who may play a role later on.

The other animatronics
Universal Pictures
Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Carl the Cupcake aren’t the only animatronics to feature in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.
In the storage room at the rear, a dog animatronic is observed, slumped lifelessly on the floor. This connection could be linked to the Sparky legend, which corresponds to the coffee shop's name. Additionally, fans catch sight of a marionette animatronic within the storage room, eventually leading to Abby being forcefully placed inside by Freddy. This could draw inspiration from The Puppet, a character featured in Ultimate Custom Night.
Furthermore, there are potential ties to Circus Baby, introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery. While Mike endeavors to flee, a doll remarkably resembling her is spotted in the background.
The drawings
YouTube/Universal Pictures
In Five Nights at Freddy's, the drawings serve as a significant form of communication for both Abby and the ghost children. However, unnoticed by many are the images on the blackboard in Abby's classroom. In the background of classroom scenes, there are illustrations of a fox and a chick, possibly symbolizing the animatronics Chica and Foxy.
Chica’s magic rainbow

Besides the classroom drawings, the wall drawings at Freddy Fazbear's contain more clues than fans may recognize. Amongst the pictures, one can find Chica's magic rainbow, which is connected to the FNAF world. Interestingly, it is also the name of the ice cream shop located in the shopping mall where Mike initially had a job.
