The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tabletop RPG Kickstarter campaign has surpassed its funding goal, showing that there are still dedicated fans of the franchise.

The initial TMNT tabletop RPG, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Strangeness," was overshadowed by the popular cartoon and movies. However, there is now an exciting revival underway with an updated sourcebook.

With the Kickstarter campaign for this revival, fans can expect to gain access to exclusive editions, extras, and merchandise. This includes variant covers, dice sets, miniatures, and even a Mutagen Green Liquid Core dice set.

A crowdfunding campaign for a nostalgic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tabletop RPG has successfully reached its funding goal. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, which has become one of the biggest superhero properties alongside Marvel and DC, has produced numerous cartoons, movies, comics, and video games over the past thirty years. Recent years have brought even more excitement for fans with the release of the retro-style game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge in 2022 and the announcement of a modern adaptation of the popular TMNT: The Last Ronin comic story in March.

These games build upon the success of various Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons and movies, but it's important not to forget that the franchise started as a black-and-white indie comic created by just two individuals in the early 1980s. During its humble beginnings, TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird collaborated with Palladium Books to publish Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Strangeness, a tabletop roleplaying RPG rulebook set in the original Mirage Comics universe. Utilizing Palladium's Megaversal RPG system, this game allowed fans to create their own mutant animals and embark on adventures in a gritty urban environment.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Strangeness, although overshadowed by the iconic 1987 TMNT cartoon and the subsequent massive franchise, is being revitalized for the modern era through a new Kickstarter campaign. Palladium Books, the original publisher of the RPG, recently announced their plans to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Strangeness Redux Edition. This updated sourcebook will feature clarified rules, new artwork, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content and tributes from prominent figures in the TMNT franchise. Surpassing its goal ahead of the November 28 deadline, the campaign has currently raised approximately $424,751.

Palladium Books offers a range of editions and additional items, including a black, white, and red variant edition inspired by the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, as well as special variant covers by Kevin Eastman and Sophie Campbell, known for their work on TMNT comics. Exclusive features for the Kickstarter campaign include TMNT-themed dice sets resembling the Turtles and their arch-enemy the Shredder, along with miniatures of various TMNT heroes and villains. Additionally, there will be a unique Mutagen Green Liquid Core dice set that showcases swirling fluid-like movements when rolled, and a TMNT-themed game screen.

Although the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Strangeness tabletop RPG may not receive as much attention as later TMNT gaming franchises, the recent success of the Kickstarter campaign, which has already exceeded its fundraising goal, suggests there is a dedicated fan base. These fans can anticipate the release of Palladium's updated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rulebook in September of next year, which is the projected launch date for this accomplished Kickstarter project.

I am a hard fan of TMNT, and I am so excited about the new tabletop RPG! I loved the original game, and I can't wait to see what the new edition has to offer. I'm especially excited about the new artwork and the exclusive content. I think this is a great way to bring back the classic TMNT experience for a new generation of fans.

I also think it's great that Palladium Books is offering so many different editions and add-ons for the game. This gives fans the opportunity to customize their experience and get the most out of the game. I'm definitely going to be getting the black, white, and red variant edition, as well as the TMNT-themed dice sets and miniatures. I can't wait to start playing the new game with my friends!
