Tiffani Thiessen is “heartbroken” over the death of her father, Frank Thiessen.

The Saved by the Bell actress posted an emotional tribute to her father via Instagram on Friday, May 24.

"My Dad had a passion for many things - animals, plants, chocolate, jazz, citrus fruits, lottery tickets, cars, watches, stray dogs & cats, and good Italian pasta. But above all, his greatest love was his family. Despite being a quiet man, he never hesitated to show his love for us. He was kind, had a sweet sense of humor, and was the epitome of a gentleman. Everyone who knew my Dad adored him. He truly had a heart of gold," shared Thiessen, 50.

"Dad, my heart aches in your absence. However, I find comfort in knowing you are now at peace," Thiessen continued. "I make a promise to you to care for Mom just as you did for over 60 years. Thank you for being a devoted husband and teaching me what it means to be a true gentleman. Thank you for being an amazing Dad and Gramps, always there for us. But above all, thank you for loving me unconditionally. You were always there to support me and cheer me on. I cherished making you proud."

Thiessen's Saved by the Bell costar Mario Lopez expressed his condolences in the comments, along with others, after the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress concluded her post with, "I love you, Daddy. We miss you so much."

Tiff, I am sending you and your family blessings during this difficult time. Losing a parent is incredibly tough. I can only imagine the pain and grief you are going through. Love you, and I am sending you nothing but love," Lopez expressed.

Lindsay Price, who also appeared in 90210, shared her condolences: "Tiff, I am so sorry and sending you lots of love."

Thiessen’s father was a park designer and landscape architect.

In 1998, the actress told InStyle how she shares her father’s appearance.

"I'm a mix of different backgrounds. I have a blend of German, Greek, Turkish, and Welsh in me. My mom has olive skin, while my blue eyes come from my dad."
