In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tiffani Thiessen revealed that her daughter, Harper, had recently completed watching all the seasons of her hit '90s show Saved By the Bell.
Thiessen shared that her 13-year-old daughter was not impressed after binge-watching the teen drama. In a lighthearted manner, the actress mentioned that her 8-year-old son, Holt, is not yet aware of her television fame.
According to Thiessen, who portrayed Kelly Kapowski from 1989 to 1992 and later reprised the role in Saved By the Bell: The College Years and two spinoff movies, Harper's opinion of the show has changed throughout the years. (Thiessen also portrayed Kelly Kapowski-Morris in the Peacock revival of Saved By the Bell from 2020 to 2021.)
In August 2018, Harper, who was 8 years old at the time, expressed interest in watching a small portion of the show and became captivated by it. Thiessen shared with Ellen DeGeneres that Harper's enthusiasm for the series persisted beyond the initial season because she was particularly fond of Zack Morris and A.C. Slater, portrayed by Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez, respectively.
Thiessen commented that her daughter was already very interested in boys, mentioning that she stopped watching the series once the kissing scenes started. Four years later, her daughter attempted to watch the show again but wasn't as impressed. Thiessen shared that her daughter would laugh and say, "Mom, this show is somewhat silly," during an interview with Scary Mommy in October 2022.
Harper's disinterest in Saved By the Bell doesn't apply to her mother's fashion choices from that time.
"On Wednesday, Thiessen mentioned that Harper often rummages through her closet and still hasn't returned my '90s awesome boots that she took."
Thiessen also had some criticisms of the show that brought her fame, particularly regarding the lack of skill from her scene partners when it came to kissing.
"I didn't have a crush on anyone," Thiessen admitted. "And as for the best kisser, I know you might expect me to mention one of those boys, but it's not the case. We were all inexperienced back then."
Thiessen opted for her White Collar costar, Tim DeKay, as her top choice for a kiss. The duo portrayed the married couple of Elizabeth and Peter Burke on the USA Network drama from 2009 to 2014.

Thiessen discovered her soulmate, Brady Smith, whom she wed in July 2005. In 2010 and 2015, the couple joyfully welcomed their children Harper and Holt. Two years later, Thiessen proudly affirmed that two was the perfect number for her kids.
"As a mother, it's a journey with highs and lows, like riding a rollercoaster," she shared exclusively with We in November 2017. "I am extremely fortunate to have two children. Yes, it can be hectic, but there are others who have five or six, so this feels relatively manageable."
