Theresa Nist’s daughter, Jen Woolston, has a lot of love for Gerry Turner and his family even after his divorce from her mother.

"I have had wonderful experiences with Gerry and his family," Woolston shared on Instagram on Wednesday, April 17. She posted a Golden Wedding portrait of their blended family and expressed, "I will always cherish the time we were a family and will consider them as family forever."

Woolston and her brother, Tommy Nist, are the children of Theresa Nist and her late husband, Billy Nist. Woolston signed her mother up for The Golden Bachelor show in 2023. On the show's finale, Theresa, who is 70 years old, got engaged to Turner, who is 72. The couple tied the knot on January 4 in a televised ceremony, with Woolston as the maid of honor and Tommy walking Theresa down the aisle. Turner's daughters from his previous marriage, Angie and Jenny, and their respective grandchildren also took part in the wedding.

However, after just three months of marriage, Turner and Theresa decided to go their separate ways due to disagreements about where to live.

"During the broadcast of Good Morning America on April 12, Turner shared that Theresa and I have had several deep talks. We have carefully examined our living arrangements and together, we have decided that it is best for us to end our marriage."

Turner expressed, "In our discussions, what stood out to me the most is our shared commitment to our families. After considering everything, we believe that living separately will bring more happiness to each of us."

Turner expressed his continued love for Theresa, but they were unable to agree on a location to live. Theresa is currently located in New Jersey due to work, while Turner owns a lakefront property in Indiana.

During an interview on GMA, Theresa mentioned that they explored options in South Carolina and even considered staying in New Jersey. They spent time looking at different houses, but were never able to reach a final decision.

Later that day, it was announced that Turner had filed for divorce in Indiana, stating "irretrievable breakdown" as the reason for the split. According to documents and their interview on GMA, Turner and Theresa had a prenuptial agreement in place and intend to follow it during the legal process. Additionally, they will be returning their Neil Lane engagement and wedding rings as per the agreement.

A few days after the news of their separation was confirmed, Theresa expressed her gratitude for the love and support from fans on Instagram.

In a recent Instagram post on Monday, April 15, she shared her thoughts on an unexpected experience. Describing it as one of the most incredible moments in her life, she never imagined it would happen at this stage of her life. She believed it would last forever, but learned that even at 70, there are surprises in store. Sometimes, things don't go as planned, and that's perfectly fine.

Theresa expressed her gratitude for the experience, highlighting the amazing friendships she has formed with the women involved, including Angie, Jenny, Payton, and Charlee, as well as the producers and production crew. Woolston shared her mother's message on her Instagram Story later that day.
