The Unwanted Undead Adventurer anime unveils release date alongside stunning PV and key visual

The anime is based on the dark-fantasy light novel series of the same name by author Yuu Okano and illustrator Jaian. Serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform since 2016, Overlap later acquired the rights and has published 12 volumes to date.

The official staff of The Unwanted Undead Adventurer anime has released a new trailer, revealing that the show will debut on January 8, 2024. The dark-fantasy anime will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS Nippon TV in Japan, as well as stream on the D-Anime Store and Netflix. International fans can also catch the show on Crunchyroll.

The newest promo video showcases the main characters of the anime, Rentt Faina and Lorraine Vivie, and gives a glimpse of the main storyline. It also teases the ending theme, Keep Your Fire Burning, sung by Mao Abe.

Official reports state that Studio CONNECT is currently working on a dark fantasy anime, with Noriaki Akitaya directing. The scripts are being overseen by Yukie Sugawara, known for their work on the Overlord anime, and the character designs are being handled by Takao Sano.

JUVENILE has delivered a stellar performance of the opening theme track "Immortal" for the upcoming anime, while Mao Abe has enchanted with her rendition of the ending theme, "Keep Your Fire Burning." The Unwanted Undead Adventurer anime boasts a stellar cast.

Ryota Suzuki, known for his role as Yuu Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, takes on the lead role of Rentt Faina. Mikako Komatsu, famous for voicing Maki Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen, portrays Lorraine Vivie.

In addition, Ikumi Hasegawa portrays Sheila Ibarrs, and Sayumi Suzushiro lends her voice to Rina Ruupage. The names of other cast members will be revealed at a later time.
