Beckhams depression after 1998 World Cup red card
Despite all the unforgettable moments Beckham experienced on the football pitch, there was one particular incident that jeopardized his career: receiving a red card for fouling Diego Simeone in England's round of 16 clash against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.
England lost the match on penalties, resulting in their elimination from the World Cup, which led to a deluge of abusive comments directed at Beckham. Victoria described it as a form of "public bullying" that deeply affected her husband, causing him to experience clinical depression and emotional devastation.
Beckham's associate and entrepreneurial ally, David Gardner, recollected individuals spitting on Beckham and recklessly intruding into his personal space while he strolled along the streets. Furthermore, he shared incidents of individuals forcefully rapping on their car windows at traffic lights.

During that period, Beckham stated that the mistreatment made him experience a profound sense of vulnerability and isolation. Reflecting on his ordeal, he also expressed difficulty in discussing the severity of his experience, as he felt that the entire nation held animosity towards him. Furthermore, he mentioned that even after a quarter of a century, he continues to criticize himself for the red card incident.
David Beckham enjoys beekeeping
After retiring from football, Beckham has become a co-owner of Inter Miami and found some other ways to occupy his time too, including beekeeping and cooking.
He starts the series by engaging in beekeeping, collecting honey from a hive of bees that pours into a vintage jam jar. Beckham playfully suggests naming it "Golden Bees," referencing his former nickname "Golden Balls," while he humorously reveals that his wife prefers the name "DB Sticky Stuff." As he converses with documentary director Fisher Stevens, he also mentions his fondness for Lego as a hobby.
Wrapping up the four-part documentary, Beckham and his family can be seen cooking together in a sunroom, a space where he enjoys leisurely activities on Saturdays. He spends the day grilling and watching football on his iPad, creating a perfect ending to the series.
The pop star photoshoot as Victoria gave birth
At times, Beckham's professional obligations have had an influence on significant moments in his family life. An instance of this is when he found himself in the challenging position of informing his wife that their third son's, Cruz, birth would coincide with his scheduled photoshoot alongside pop superstars Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez.
"I couldn't believe it... seriously, I was on the verge of bursting. I was confined to bed rest. Are you kidding me?" Victoria exclaims in the documentary, reminiscing about the events 18 years later. "You had a damn photoshoot with Jennifer Lopez, who is stunning and definitely not expecting a baby. Meanwhile, I had to undergo a C-section and I vividly remember lying there, feeling far from my most attractive, to put it mildly."
