In Immortals of Aveum, the story follows Jak, a skilled magic-user, who becomes entangled in the Everwar, an unending conflict for control over a potent form of magic. While Jak's primary duty is to defend his homeland by battling foes on the frontlines, he also has the freedom to explore the world and search for collectibles during his spare time.
In Chapter 3 of Immortals of Aveum, Jak is transported to Yltheum and must find his way back to Lucium by navigating through the forested region. Here, players have the opportunity to discover 10 Golden Chests and 1 Shroudfane. However, obtaining these items is not always straightforward; many of Yltheum's collectibles are concealed in hidden areas that can only be accessed by solving puzzles or utilizing specific abilities that Jak may not possess.
All Golden Chest & Shroudfane Locations In Yltheum
Although Yltheum may not be a large place, it can still be quite time-consuming to uncover all of its hidden treasures. Additionally, navigating through its similar-looking locations can easily lead to losing one's sense of direction. What makes matters even more challenging is that most of the collectibles scattered around Yltheum are inaccessible or cannot be discovered until Jak has acquired certain new skills and Augments.
If players wish to find all Golden Chests and the Shroudfane, they must return when Jak has unlocked the Restore, Grapple, and Wardbreaker abilities.

Golden Chest #1 | Starting at the Yltheum Fields Portal, players should head into the northwestern corner and look through the window. Inside is a blue crystal that, when hit with Blue Sigil Magic, will open the gate to the left. Proceeding inside the newly opened building, a Golden Chest can be found. |  | 4,000 Gold |
Golden Chest #2 & Shroudfane #1 | Fast-traveling to the West Passage, players should head southwest and follow the path until they find a blue force field to the left. Golden Chest #3 | Fast-traveling to the Temple of Aristeya, players should head north and then northwest until they find some Corruption on the ground. Approaching it and using the Restore ability, a Leylodon will spawn. Once it has been defeated, the Corruption will vanish, revealing a Golden Chest. |  | Force Chain |
Golden Chest #4 | Heading south past the portal, players should hug the wall to the right until they reach a circular doorway. To the northwest is a Lash Anchor that Jak can grapple to, allowing him access to a hidden area. The Golden Chest can be found inside. |  | 400 Ascension Points |
Golden Chest #5 | Jumping across the ravine to the west and proceeding into the small courtyard, players should head north through the open doorway and travel up the stairs to the left. Eventually, they will be faced with a blue force field; breaking it with Wardbreaker will reveal a Golden Chest. |  | Radiant Vial |
Golden Chest #6 | Traveling back to the courtyard, players should face southeast and hit the green, red, and blue glowing crystals with Sigil Magic; Green Sigil Magic works on green crystals, Blue Sigil Magic works on blue crystals, and Red Sigil Magic works on red crystals. Golden Chest #7 | Continuing to the southwestern side of the courtyard and leaving through the door to the left, players should follow the path west while hugging the wall to the right. Eventually, Jak will reach an area he can drop down into, but before he does, players should jump to the metal walkway in front of them and look down to the east. Jak must land next to the Golden Chest when he drops, or he will not be able to reach it. |  | Etched Bracer |
Golden Chest #8 | Backtracking to the area above, players must grapple to the Leyline and head west. When Jak is forced to let go, he will drop into a hidden area, in the center of which a Golden Chest can be found. |  | 20,000 Gold |
Golden Chest #9 | Using the Leyline to get back to the previous area, players should return to where they previously dropped and jump to the second metal cylinder. Turning left, they should then drop to the area below and proceed southeast along the linear path ahead. At the end, Jak will need to jump across a ravine to reach the set of stairs to the west. Climbing to the top and turning to face northwest, he can jump across the ravine to reach a Golden Chest. |  | 300 Ascension Points |
Golden Chest #10 | Turning west and dropping to the area below, Jak can follow the path ahead to reach the Yltheum Ruins Portal. From here, players should proceed south and grapple to the Lash Anchor to reach the area above. Turning north and walking across the log, players should turn west and walk toward the edge of the cliff. There are three Lash Anchors connected to the cliff face, and Jak can use each of them to get across to the other side. The Golden Chest is located just past the second waterfall, at the far east part of the platform. |  | 400 Ascension Points |
Once players have located all the Golden Chests and Shroudfanes in Yltheum, they are granted the freedom to proceed to the next region in order to persistently search for any remaining ones. The attainment of the Treasure Hunter and Shroudfane Surveyor trophies/achievements is bestowed upon those who successfully discover them all.
