Enabling Cheats
Undoubtedly, The Sims 4 would lack its appeal if there were only a limited number of hairstyles and outfits for Sims to choose from. Fortunately, the CAS mode allows gamers to alter the traits and features of their Sims at will, granting them the freedom to personalize their Sim's personality as desired. However, it should be noted that the CAS mode can only be accessed through cheats.
It is important to enable cheats before using them. The key combos for activating cheats vary depending on the platform gamers are using.
To make the cheat box appear, press Ctrl + Shift + C on the keyboard. Type "testingcheats true" in the box to activate cheats. On a Mac, press Command+Shift+C and enter "testingcheats true". Console players can bring up the cheat box by simultaneously pressing all four triggers on the controller.
Once cheats are activated in The Sims 4, players can enter CAS mode by typing "cas.fulleditmode" and holding the Shift key while selecting the Sim they want to edit. Xbox players should press the A and B buttons, while PlayStation players should press the O and X keys on the controller simultaneously.
Clicking on the option 'Modify in CAS' from the menu will navigate players to the CAS mode for the respective Sim. In the CAS mode, Simmers can freely alter their Sim's appearance, clothing, traits, aspirations, and family relationships. Upon completing the desired changes, players can save them by clicking the 'tick' icon and seamlessly transition back to the live mode. The Sims 4 is currently accessible for PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.
