Remnant 2 offers a variety of fully-automatic weapons, but none compares to the exhilarating experience of firing a drum-fed Tommy Gun. Known as the Chicago Typewriter, this firearm allows for a continuous stream of bullets to effortlessly take down vulnerable targets. With its presence in the original game, the Tommy Gun's enjoyment remains unchanged in Remnant 2.
Similar to its predecessor, this sought-after weapon can be found in a secret location that may elude many players during their initial playthrough of Remnant 2. Fortunately, accessing this hidden area is relatively straightforward and can be done immediately after defeating the Labyrinth Sentinel. Here's a guide on obtaining this weapon.
Remnant 2: Chicago Typewriter Location
Upon defeating the cube boss and encountering Clementine in the Labyrinth, players can access the Chicago Typewriter. Activating all the portals in the Labyrinth is necessary to proceed. To uncover this hidden Long Gun, teleport to the Entangled Gauntlet checkpoint, ascend the stairs on the right, and enter the open portal. Promptly move behind the portal to find another one suspended in midair. With caution, walk off the ledge and traverse through this portal to arrive at a secluded section of the Labyrinth.

Proceed by either battling the Labyrinth constructs or bypassing them to access another portal. Upon reaching the opposite side, go left to access a seemingly vacant room. On the left side of the entrance, there are ledges that players can ascend. Players should then traverse from ledge to ledge and leap towards a small opening above the entrance in order to reach it.
Instead of descending back to the portal, turn to the right and ascend. You will come across an opening on the opposite ledge - leap towards it and then proceed through the corridors until you reach a portal that transports you to a majestic golden realm. This portal will take you to the cargo bay of the abandoned ship located in Ward 13. Upon arriving, you will find the Chicago Typewriter placed on a crate near a notebook. Additionally, remember to collect the Leto Mark II armor set from the open blue container before departing.
If the portal is not open, it indicates that players have yet to eliminate the Labyrinth Sentinel or encounter Clementine.
The Chicago Typewriter offers both a rapid rate of fire and the same precision mechanism found in the Bonesaw. Holding down its trigger gradually enhances its accuracy, making it an excellent choice for engaging in boss battles or prolonged encounters with enemy groups.
Remnant 2 is now accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
