Immortals of Aveum, developed by Electronic Arts, is a captivating first-person shooting game that seamlessly incorporates different types of magic and a vast selection of spells. Players assume the role of Jak, the protagonist, and embark on a mission to bring an end to the Everwar and overthrow the tyrannical ruler, Sandrakk.
Throughout the game, players will acquire an array of spells in Immortals of Aveum, each serving various purposes as Jak explores the enchanting realm of Aveum. Some of these spells may not be explicitly explained or immediately apparent. For instance, when players come across enigmatic boxes with green doors concealing treasure chests, successfully unlocking them requires a deep understanding of Jak's extraordinary powers. However, due to the extensive range of abilities at Jak's disposal, some players may encounter difficulties in mastering them.
How To Unlock Green Boxes Containing Chests
As Jak journeys through Aveum to end the country's suffering, he comes across crates and chests containing various items such as weapons and materials for weapon upgrades. While most of these can be easily opened by pressing a button or breaking them, the chests hidden behind green trap doors pose a challenge.
To open the green doors, players must use two different magic applications in quick succession. The first step involves striking a colored crystal located near the box. Care must be taken to have a clear line of sight to the box, as the trap door will close shortly after striking the crystal.
Players must use a spell to slow down the door's movement in order to overcome the intense time pressure on the box. This can be achieved by shooting Limpets at the door, although one Limpet alone will not suffice. The key to keeping the door open is to strike the crystal and then fire as many Limpets as possible to effectively hold the door in place long enough for the chest to be opened. Precise aiming is crucial, as the Limpet, being a green magic ability, will automatically lock onto the target, making the task slightly easier.
