Despite being portrayed by different actors on different platforms, the success of re-imagining The Dark Knight and Man of Steel has given DC potential ideas for a crossover that could captivate audiences both on the big screen and on television.

The caption suggested that Hoechlin's Superman would be an excellent fit for the Matt Reeves universe. It's uncertain whether the two heroes are in Gotham or Metropolis, but the photo's ambiguous color palette appears to merge the lightheartedness of Metropolis with the gloom of Gotham City. Although Pattinson debuted as Batman last year, Hoechlin has been portraying Superman since 2016, appearing in Supergirl, Arrow, Batwoman, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow before receiving his own show, Superman and Lois. While it seems that the two will continue to exist in their respective DC universes, there are no plans for a crossover at the moment.

What if DC explored a storyline where an experienced Superman crosses paths with an inexperienced Batman? This unique dynamic has yet to be explored and could lead to interesting character developments. Would Superman's experience impact Batman's state of mind, making him more compassionate or would the two clash due to their contrasting viewpoints? Although DC has attempted this storyline before with disastrous results, with the reboot of the franchise, they should be open to exploring new ideas. With James Gunn's proven creativity in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to have Pattinson and Hoechlin share the screen. Both actors have successfully played iconic characters in the franchise, making a crossover between them worth considering. After all, they have both bounced back from challenges before.
