The Tourist season 2 has received a grim update following its surprise renewal. The show, created by Harry and Jack Williams, revolves around The Man (played by Jamie Dornan) who wakes up in a hospital with no memory of his identity or how he ended up there. Throughout the first six episodes, Dornan's character navigates his way through uncertainty with the help of Helen Chamber (Danielle Macdonald), a traffic cop who assists him in uncovering the truth about the devastating car crash that caused his amnesia. While the mystery series is returning for a second season, with filming already concluded, it remains uncertain whether the new episodes will be available in the U.S.
TVLine reports that Max will no longer be associated with the Dornan-led drama. The first season of The Tourist will be removed from the streaming service, previously known as HBO Max, on September 8. Additionally, Max will not be airing any episodes of the upcoming second season. Currently, it is unclear whether All3Media, the production company behind The Tourist, is in discussions with other platforms regarding the show's acquisition.
