Warner Bros. has issued an official response to address the controversy surrounding the disappearance of Zack Snyder's Justice League trailer from YouTube. Fortunately, the removal of the trailer was not done with any malicious intent; rather, it was simply hidden from public view instead of being completely deleted.
The initial confusion arose from a tweet by George_TeamLH, who pointed out the removal of the Zack Snyder's Justice League trailer, despite its 31 million views. However, there is a reasonable explanation for its absence. Screen Rant has received confirmation from Warner Bros. Discovery that the trailer has been set to Private due to a music licensing problem. It is likely that the trailer will be made publicly available once the issue with the music licensing is resolved, but there is currently no official information regarding when or if that will occur.
Will Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 Ever Happen?
Despite Zack Snyder's dedicated fanbase online, it is highly unlikely that Warner Bros. Discovery will produce his proposed Justice League 2. Warner Bros. Discovery has already invested heavily in their new DC Universe (DCU) plans, including the pre-production of Superman: Legacy and the casting of David Corenswet as the new Superman. Despite setbacks caused by strikes from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), Warner Bros. Discovery is unlikely to change their course. Additionally, it remains uncertain if Zack Snyder would even want to return to Warner Bros. Discovery to make another DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film.
Even if DC Studios expressed interest in creating a sequel to Zack Snyder's Justice League, Snyder's own interest in producing and directing it would need to align. However, Snyder has moved on from the franchise and has signed a multi-picture production deal with Netflix, which grants him more creative control than he previously had at Warner Bros. Discovery. Currently, Snyder is occupied with completing his original science-fiction epic Rebel Moon and working on a spinoff television series based on his first Netflix film, Army of the Dead. This suggests that it could be years before Snyder can consider taking on a new movie, even if he desires to make Justice League 2.
