Highlights
The Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack for The Sims 4 offers new cooking appliances and kitchen decor, but may be too niche for most players.
The pack enables players to engage in a food vending side business without requiring the Get to Work expansion pack, however, it lacks innovative elements.
Although the pack introduces fresh clothing and equipment for Create A Sim, the furnishings and decorations resemble those found in the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, diminishing its allure for certain players.
EA has released numerous game, expansion, and stuff packs in the past, including a recent addition for The Sims 4. The Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack offers players new kitchen appliances, CAS items, and decor. Priced at $10, it is a reasonably priced purchase, although it may have limited appeal to most The Sims 4 players.
The focal point of this stuff pack revolves around the introduction of new cooking appliances. It presents the opportunity for players to engage in a side hustle by selling food as a street food vendor, without the need for the Get to Work expansion pack. While this may be exciting for players who are not interested in other features offered by the Get to Work expansion pack, it is not particularly groundbreaking. Players are restricted to selling only the food they can prepare and sell at their vendor booth. Although players could attempt to sneak fresh food into their inventories and sell it at the stall, this workaround seems unnecessarily complicated for a feature of such small scale.
The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack Create-a-Sim Items
The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack introduces a wide range of CAS items for players to enjoy. From stylish beanies to trendy aprons and two new glove options, EA has done a great job with the design. The pack even includes the highly anticipated pizza earrings in both hoops and studs styles, giving players plenty of fun options to incorporate into their outfits. As the Create-A-Sim aspect is a favorite among many players, these accessories are sure to be a hit.
In addition to the pizza earrings, players will also find whimsical necklaces with a whisk charm and a matching earring set. The necklace comes in two sizes, allowing for customization and personal style. However, the shirts and aprons included in the stuff pack may not be the most appealing. If players have the choice between the provided aprons or The Sims 4 Custom Content options, they are unlikely to choose the pack.
The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack Build Items
The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack introduces players to new appliances such as the Stand Mixer, Waffle Maker, and Countertop Stove Oven. These additions offer fresh content to the game and provide players with the opportunity to learn how to utilize these appliances effectively. Additionally, the pack features brand-new food stands where players can sell their culinary creations to passing Sims. These portable stands add an exciting element to entrepreneurship for those who have the pack.
In addition to the new appliances, the stuff pack also includes a range of new furniture and decor specifically designed for kitchens. This includes new counters, a fridge, dishwasher, oven, and shelves, all of which have been incorporated into the game with this DLC. It is worth noting that these items are not vastly different from the ones featured in The Sims 4 Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, which also included a new counter, fridge, and oven. Although there may be variations in color schemes, these two packs offer essentially the same items. The main distinction is that the Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack encompasses the addition of food stands.
In general, the stuff pack may seem too specific for the majority of players. While it doesn't have any significant drawbacks, its resemblance to the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack might not make it the top pick for many players when considering a stuff pack to purchase. Fortunately, there was a giveaway for The Sims 4 that provided players with the opportunity to win the new Home Chef Hustle pack, for those who were interested in it but hesitant to spend $10. The Sims 4 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
