Orcs, the primary adversaries in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, are malicious beings who serve the Dark Lord Morgoth and share his desire to conquer Middle-earth. Once the Dwarves were expelled from Khazad-dûm, Orcs took control of the deserted halls of Moria.

These humanoid creatures are frequently encountered in large groups and have established numerous Orc Camps throughout Moria. Within each camp, players can locate two significant elements - Orkish Chests and Orc Banners. Orkish Chests have a vital role in Return to Moria, but unlocking them may pose a challenge for some players.

How to Open Orkish Chests in Return to Moria

Upon reaching the second area, known as The Elven Quarters, players will come across Orkish Chests. These chests can be found within various Orc Camps scattered throughout the halls. To proceed, players must first clear the camp by eliminating any Orcs and Wolves that stand in their way.

Once all enemies have been defeated, players should then utilize their Axe or Pickaxe to destroy the wooden Orc Banner positioned at the center of the camp. By doing so, the camp will be rendered inactive, ensuring no further Orcs or Goblins will emerge in that particular area. Additionally, this action will cause an Orc Key to drop, which players can acquire.

Players have the option to bypass unnecessary battles by directly demolishing the wooden totem, resulting in the immediate disappearance of all enemies.

Orc Keys are specialized keys specifically created for unlocking Orkish Chests in Return to Moria. Players can acquire this Key by pressing the E key on their keyboard. When players approach an Orkish Chest, they can press the E key again to unlock it using the Orc Key.
