Where to Get Hide In LOTR: Return To Moria
Obtaining Hide in The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria
To get straight to the point, here are a few ways players can use to get this valuable resource:
Kill Large Animals
The first method for obtaining Hide is by defeating larger animals like Cave Bears or Hriwara. This approach is more accessible to players in the early stages of the game, particularly when they venture into the Moria Caves' Western Halls. In this location, players will encounter the creatures necessary to obtain Hide. However, acquiring this resource through this method can still be challenging in the early game. Despite the decent number of animals in the area, they typically only drop around one to two Hide per kill.
How to Craft Hide
Players can acquire Hide in a more efficient way by crafting it using a Loom. This can be achieved by combining Hide Scraps and Resin. However, this option will only become available once players complete the storyline up to the Western Halls and reach The Crystal Descent. Initially, the descent will need to be repaired before players can slide down to The Lower Deeps, where they can mine Resin from caves.
Upon obtaining Resin, players will also receive a Loom as an additional reward. The next step involves acquiring Hide Scraps, which are relatively easier to obtain compared to Hide itself. These can be looted from smaller animals like Wolves. To craft a single piece of Hide, players will need to gather 10 Hide Scraps and one unit of Resin.
Although this crafting method is only accessible after certain progress in the game, it is still considered more efficient. As a result, fans are advised to focus on achieving this goal.
Lord of the Rings: Return To Moria is available on PC. The PS5 version launches on December 5. The Xbox Series X and S version is coming in early 2024.
