10. Syrax
Syrax, the yellow dragon ridden by Rhaenyra Targaryen, is a dragon of unknown age and is presumed to be around the middle of the pack in terms of age and size. However, Syrax lacks battle experience and has been in chains for years before the start of the war, making it a unique and intriguing force on the battlefield.

9. Moondancer
Moondancer, companion of the young Baela Targaryen, is one of the youngest dragons and is considered one of the smallest dragons alive at the start of the war. The TV adaptation will likely size up the dragon along with aging up its rider, as the trailer indicates they'll be expediting her process of joining the war.

8. Sunfyre
Sunfyre, the dragon of King Aegon II Targaryen, is best known for its beautiful golden scales, and it's a viable threat to the greens. Despite being relatively young, Sunfyre is known for being decently large for its age by the start of the Dance of the Dragons, making it a sight to behold in battle.

7. Meleys
Meleys, also known as the Red Queen, is the dragon of Rhaenys Targaryen and is known to be far faster than larger dragons like Vhagar. In terms of age, Meleys is roughly 50 years old, making her one of the older dragons alive during the war, and a formidable force in aerial combat.

6. Dreamfyre
Dreamfyre, the dragon of Helaena Targaryen, is one of the oldest dragons alive but is a slender dragon, making her medium-sized. Dreamfyre is primarily used as a breeding dragon and rarely sees battle, a unique role for such an ancient and majestic creature.

Seasmoke, a valuable unclaimed dragon, is described as roughly a third of Vermithor's size, but its agility makes it a viable threat on the battlefield. Its battle experience and agility compensate for its lack of size, making it a force to be reckoned with.

Sheepstealer, a wild dragon known for stealing sheep and hunting around the Crownlands, is one of the unclaimed dragons living on Dragonstone at the start of House of the Dragon season 2.
