Summary
The white bird seen at the end of Ahsoka Tano's season 1 finale is likely Morai, a convor with a mysterious connection to the Mortis Force-wielders.
Morai has been present during crucial junctures in Ahsoka's journey, including soaring above Darth Vader and guiding Ezra Bridger to discover Ahsoka within the enigmatic realm known as the World Between Worlds.
Though the extent of Morai's connection with the Daughter remains uncertain, it is highly probable that Morai is intimately tied to Ahsoka as a result of the Daughter imparting her Force essence into her.
Ahsoka's journey in the Ahsoka season 1 finale takes an intriguing turn when a mysterious white bird makes its appearance. However, this seemingly unassuming creature holds a significant role in Ahsoka Tano's Star Wars adventures. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi embark on a quest to Mortis, a mystical realm. It is here that one of the powerful Force users from Mortis may be connected to the bird seen with Ahsoka. This same bird reappears in the final episodes of The Clone Wars and various episodes focusing on Ahsoka in Star Wars Rebels.
The three Force users from Mortis, known as the Father, the Daughter, and the Son, are often mistakenly associated with the light side, dark side, and balance of the Force. However, their true alignment is better understood through the concepts of the Cosmic Force (Father), Living Force (Daughter), and the Dark Side of the Force (Son). The bird spotted at the end of Ahsoka's journey is most probably a specific convor bird with an enigmatic link to one of the Mortis Force users.
Is The White Bird Ahsoka Sees Supposed To Be Morai?
What Morai Would Mean & How It Connects To Baylan's Story
: The white bird seen at the end of "Part Eight: The Jedi, The Witch, and The Warlord" is likely Morai, a female convor introduced in Rebels.Morai has a tendency to appear during crucial moments in Ahsoka Tano's journey, such as when Darth Vader investigates the wreckage of the Tribunal and discovers Ahsoka's lightsaber from the Clone Wars era, where Morai can be seen flying above him. On Malachor, Morai once again made an appearance to both Vader and Ahsoka, and later guided Ezra Bridger in locating Ahsoka within the World Between Worlds. Interestingly, Morai also features in a mural depicting the Force-wielders of Mortis, where she is perched on the shoulder of the Daughter.
Dave Filoni purposely keeps Morai's connection to the Daughter ambiguous. It is speculated that Morai could either be a reincarnation of the Daughter or simply her companion. Regardless, there is a definite connection between Morai and Ahsoka Tano. This is likely because, in her final moments, the Daughter transferred her Force essence into Ahsoka, bringing her back to life after being murdered by the Son. It is not surprising to see Morai appear at the end of Ahsoka, as Tano has finally found peace within herself and with her late master. Additionally, she has successfully returned Ezra Bridger to the main Star Wars galaxy.
Baylan Skoll can be spotted on Peridea, positioned on top of a statue of the Father, accompanied by a statue of the Son. Despite the damaged face of a third statue, believed to symbolize the Daughter, standing beside the Father, it implies Baylan Skoll's descent into darkness. Nevertheless, with the presence of Ahsoka Tano and Morai on Peridea, the embodiment of the Daughter and the essence of the Living Force are still present, evidently intertwined with Skoll's quest for power from the events following Ahsoka's involvement on Mortis.
