Introduced in Episode 3 of Loki Season 2, Victor Timely, known as a variant of Kang, has sparked speculation among fans about his true identity as Kang from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Marvel's latest season of Loki has taken viewers on a thrilling journey through the multiverse, with the mischievous God himself returning to his usual antics.
In Season 2, Loki, Mobius, and the TVA face the challenge of managing the emergence of uncontrollable timeline branches. These branches cannot be corrected by the Time Loom or the TVA's power source.
Episode 3 brings back Victor Timely, who is revealed to be a variant of Kang the Conqueror or He Who Remains from Season 1. This has left many fans questioning whether Timely is the same character as Kang from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania/He Who Remains.
Is Victor Timely the same as Kang aka He Who Remains?
A popular fan theory believes that Victor Timely and Kang from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are the same person as Kang never really died.
According to a theory on Marvel Reddit, fans believe that Kang from Quantummania, after being sucked into the multiverse power core in the film's ending, teleported to the past and assumed the identity of Victor Timely.
The theory suggests that Timely, being the original Kang/He Who Remains, would be a logical choice for Loki and Mobius to confront in order to overcome Kang's alternate versions and emerge victorious.
It would also be logical for the original Kang to assume the persona of Timeless due to the revelation in Quantunmania, where Kang reveals that his variants exiled him after Janet had a vision of him conquering and annihilating multiple timelines.
If Timely ultimately emerges as the real mastermind, the subsequent episodes of Loki Season 2 will undoubtedly escalate into a consequential battle that holds the destiny of the entire multiverse in the balance.
