David Lee, who retired from the NBA in 2017, has now taken on the role of a father of two and the husband of tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki. The couple's relationship began in 2016 and was made public the following year.

Since then, Lee has been a supportive presence at Wozniacki's Grand Slam matches. They have also bought and sold a luxurious home together. Their family has grown with the arrival of daughter Olivia in 2021 and son James in 2022.

Before meeting Lee, Wozniacki was engaged to golfer Rory McIlroy, who infamously broke up with her just weeks before their wedding in a three-minute phone call. McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll announced their divorce in May 2024.

Just minutes after word of their divorce became public, Wozniacki commented on an Instagram post from golfer Brooks Koepka in which Koepka paid tribute to his wife, Jena Sims. “Hot mama,” she wrote.

Koepka and Wozniacki have been friends for a long time. The golfer has been supportive of Wozniacki's return to tennis after she took a break to start a family with Lee.

November 2015

Lee and Wozniacki first crossed paths at a restaurant in Miami, but kept their budding romance under wraps initially. Lee humorously shared during his wedding speech, as reported by Vogue, that the start of their relationship felt like a miracle. He joked about Wozniacki being out for dinner past her usual bedtime of 8 p.m. The two hit it off that night and ended up spending more time together at Wozniacki's home on Fisher Island, where Lee eventually stayed in the guest room.
