It seems that Rudeus is playfully interacting with Pursena, which triggers a wave of jealousy within Sylphie. She finds herself questioning if she fits the description of the type of girl Rudeus likes. Her emotional turmoil is quite evident to both Ariel and Luke. Later, during a conversation, Ariel expresses her curiosity about why Sylphie pays so much attention to someone like Rudeus, who doesn't even remember her. This prompts Sylphie to confess that she hasn't revealed her true identity to him yet. Sylphie reveals that she is afraid of discovering that Rudeus has indeed forgotten about her and decides to delay disclosing her identity for a little while longer.
Later, Rudeus finds himself immersed in research at the library, delving once more into the mysterious incident of teleportation. As he uncovers similarities between teleportation and summoning magic, Rudeus seeks guidance from Fitz regarding any summoning experts at Ranoa University of Magic. Fitz informs him about a remarkable student named Silent Sevenstar, whose significant contributions to the university's community stand out, many of which Rudeus recognizes from his previous life.
Curiosity propels Rudeus to venture towards Silent's exclusive laboratory, where he unexpectedly encounters the masked girl who accompanied Orsted during their initial encounter. The memories of Orsted's violent assault overwhelm Rudeus, causing him to panic and eventually lose consciousness out of fear. Upon awakening, he finds himself in Fitz's comforting embrace, only to be startled by the reappearance of the enigmatic white mask. Silent, attempting to alleviate his anxieties about Orsted, poses three thought-provoking questions. These inquiries make one undeniable truth clear to Rudeus: Silent Sevenstar hails from the same world as he does. Removing her mask, Silent reveals herself as Shizuka Nanahoshi, a familiar face to Rudeus, as he is reminded of the girl he saved from a tragic accident involving a truck prior to his demise.
Stranded In Another World
Rudeus and Nanahoshi converse in Japanese, leaving Fitz bewildered as he cannot understand them. Nanahoshi expresses her excitement at encountering someone from her homeworld and expresses her desire to find a way back. However, Rudeus firmly reveals that he has no intentions of returning as he was reincarnated here, unlike Nanahoshi who was teleported. He values the relationships and connections he has built in this world.
Nanahoshi proceeds to share her experiences since arriving in this world. She was suddenly transported to Asura Kingdom where Orsted found her and cared for her. In their search for answers, they traveled through the world using teleportation circles but found nothing significant. Nanahoshi mentions that her body functions differently from those naturally existing in this world, with no aging process and lacking mana. Despite studying summoning magic at the university, she is limited by her lack of mana. As a proposal, Nanahoshi offers to exchange Rudeus's mana for her summoning experiments in exchange for any information she can provide.
The Truth Behind The Teleportation Incident
Now conversing in the common language of the present world, Nanahoshi discusses the mass teleportation event with Rudeus and Fitz. Nanahoshi arrived in this world at the same time as the incident, leading her to believe that her presence triggered it.
Rudeus, unsurprised, had arrived at a similar conclusion. However, this information infuriates Fitz, who proceeds to violently attack Nanahoshi. Rudeus intervenes, realizing that Fitz lacks the knowledge that Rudeus already possesses. He clarifies that Nanahoshi herself was also a victim and did not intend to come to this world. Fitz quickly calms down and apologizes for his sudden assault on Nanahoshi.
Nanahoshi resumes her conversation with Rudeus, acknowledging her limited knowledge about the teleportation incident. However, she expresses confidence in her ongoing summoning experiments to eventually unravel the logical explanation behind it. Rudeus reassures Nanahoshi of his commitment to assisting her with the experiments before parting ways with Fitz for the day.
On their way back, Fitz expresses concern regarding Rudeus's relationship with Nanahoshi and asks for his opinion of her. Rudeus admits to finding her peculiar, yet remains open to trusting her. Fitz appears relieved by the apparent lack of romantic interest from Rudeus towards Nanahoshi, which lifts his spirits slightly.
