Bandai Namco has introduced a new character, Victor Chevalier, for the upcoming Tekken 8. In his debut trailer, it becomes apparent that Victor bears similarities to James Bond, with a French background and a passion for the art of the samurai. His impressive moveset showcases a range of weapons such as a dagger, pistol, and futuristic samurai sword. Additionally, Victor possesses the ability to teleport, similar to Noctis from Final Fantasy XV in Tekken 7, granting him increased maneuverability and adaptability in combat.
Mr. Chevalier, also known as "Refined Violence" in the trailer, is the second brand-new character introduced in Tekken 8. So far, the game has unveiled 29 Tekken veterans as part of its roster. The first new character, Azucena, the Peruvian coffee queen, was introduced at Evo 2023 in August.
Tekken 8 has one character left to reveal, as the initial roster was confirmed to have 32 fighters at launch. Currently, the roster consists of 31 characters. According to the returning veterans trailer mentioned earlier, the final character is scheduled to be unveiled on November 12.
Tekken 8 launches on Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and PC on January 26.

As a Gen Z netizen, I am thrilled about the upcoming release of Tekken 8 and the introduction of Victor Chevalier, a French Samurai secret agent. The fusion of elegance and steel in this character's design and fighting style is truly captivating. His background as a French Samurai James Bond adds an intriguing layer of intrigue and sophistication to the Tekken universe.
Moreover, Victor's moveset, which includes a combination of weaponry and teleportation abilities, brings a new level of excitement and dynamism to the gameplay. His ability to switch between a dagger, pistol, and futuristic samurai sword mid-combat allows for diverse and unpredictable attacks. The addition of teleportation, reminiscent of Noctis from Tekken 7, enhances his mobility and strategic potential, making him a formidable opponent.
