After the 4th Great Ninja War, most tailed-beasts wanted to return to their old homes, while the eight-tails and nine-tails decided to stay sealed within their jinchuriki.
Hagoromo restored the tailed-beasts to their true forms and appointed Naruto as their gathering spot for communication. The nine-tails assumed the role of protector for this gathering place.
Despite the grim realities of war, this result brings an unexpectedly positive change for the tailed-beasts, granting them freedom and a means to forge meaningful connections with each other via Naruto.
The Tailed-Beasts play a significant role in both the 4th Great Ninja War and the overall story of Naruto. Naruto's personal journey revolves around embracing his inner struggle and learning to wield the power of the nine-tails beast sealed within him. Additionally, the Akatsuki's hunt for the tailed-beasts sets the stage for the 4th Great Ninja War.
While it is intriguing to discuss the events leading up to the war, this article will shift focus towards what happens to the tailed-beasts after the conclusion of the 4th Great Ninja War. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the wholesome outcome.
The Tailed-Beasts During The 4th Great Ninja War
Before the war, the Akatsuki diligently captured the Jinchuriki and extracted their tailed-beasts, their reasons unclear at the time. However, during the great war, it became evident that their frantic hunt for the Tailed-Beasts aimed to revive the legendary Ten-Tailed beast, as part of Madara's Infinite Tsukoyomi plan.
The Akatsuki successfully collected all the tailed-beasts except for the eight-tails, sealed within Killer B, and the nine-tails, sealed within Naruto. The remaining seven tailed-beasts were already sealed within the Gedo Statue. This led the Ninja Alliance to initially hide the two jinchuriki during the early stages of the war. However, they soon realized that it would be more advantageous to utilize Naruto and Killer B's immense powers to secure victory, rather than futilely concealing them from the enemy.
The Tailed-Beasts After The 4th Great Ninja War
During the later phase of the war, the enemy successfully acquired both the eight-tails and nine-tails chakra. However, they only managed to obtain a portion of the chakra, allowing Naruto and Killer B to survive. With this chakra, they were able to reintroduce the ten-tailed entity. Consequently, the tailed-beasts remained in this state until the war's conclusion. The ten-tailed now contained seven tailed-beasts, supplemented by fragments of the eight and nine-tails, while the other two tailed-beasts remained sealed within their respective jinchuriki.
Towards the conclusion of the war, the renowned Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the original sage of the six paths, emerges and provides guidance to Naruto and Sasuke, along with a select few, in their monumental victory against Kaguya Otsutsuki, his own mother. As the climactic events draw to a close, Hagoromo reverts the nine tailed-beasts back to their original forms and engages in an immensely meaningful conversation with each one of them. Now liberated from their prolonged captivity, he inquires about their aspirations for the future, thereby dividing the majestic creatures into two distinct groups based on their responses.
The majority of the tailed-beasts, ranging from the first to the seventh, express their longing to return to their natural habitats. These magnificent creatures had once roamed freely for centuries, until they were relentlessly pursued and sealed within jinchurikis by the persistent ninjas of the past. Having finally regained their freedom, most of them yearn to return to the secluded forests, hidden caves, and vast mountainous regions that were once their sanctuaries.
On the other hand, the eight-tails and nine-tails beasts have a different perspective. Despite now being able to explore their surroundings at will, these two tailed-beasts choose to remain with their current jinchurikis. Unlike their counterparts, they have formed deep bonds of friendship with their respective hosts and truly enjoy their companionship. In accordance with their desires, Hagoromo sealed them once more within Killer B and Naruto, precisely restoring their captured chakra to make them complete again.
Naruto And His New Role For The Tailed-Beasts
During the war, Naruto gains the trust of all the tailed-beasts and they agree to share their chakra with him. As a result, Naruto now holds a portion of chakra from each of the nine tailed-beasts. This connection allows them to communicate with Naruto and with each other through him at any time. Recognizing this, Hagoromo designates Naruto, specifically the space within him where the nine-tails resides, as the meeting place for the tailed-beasts.
Furthermore, Hagoromo appoints the nine-tails as the guardian of this meeting place. Since the nine-tails has already chosen to remain within Naruto, taking on this additional responsibility poses no issue. As a result, Naruto becomes the connecting point, or home, for all the tailed-beasts following the war.
After the conclusion of the 4th great ninja war, most of the tailed-beasts opted to return to their original dwellings, while two of them remained sealed within their jinchuriki. Additionally, they now have the ability to communicate with one another through Naruto whenever they desire, and the nine-tails serves as the protector of their meeting location. Considering the hardships they endured throughout the war, this outcome proves quite gratifying for the tailed beasts, wouldn't you agree?
