Popular online personality SSSniperwolf, whose real name is Alia, has become embroiled in a dispute with fellow content creator Jacksfilms, also known as John. With over 33 million YouTube subscribers, SSSniperwolf has established herself as a notable figure, while Jacksfilms has amassed nearly 5 million subscribers. Despite both being on the platform for a considerable period of time, it appears that the two have not developed a positive relationship.
Their recent interactions on social media have not only captured the attention of their respective fan bases but the broader internet as well. Surprisingly, the feud between them is not a recent development and can be traced back to at least October 2022. While conflicts among content creators are not uncommon, it seems that this particular disagreement shows no signs of coming to an end anytime soon.
SSSniperwolf and Jacksfilms Refuse to Back Down
SSSniperwolf gained initial fame by playing games like Call of Duty. Since launching her YouTube channel in 2013, she has encountered her fair share of controversies. One instance was when she won "Favorite Gamer" at Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards in 2019, and some members of the gaming community disagreed, believing that Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, or Ninja were more deserving.
However, as of 2023, SSSniperwolf is primarily recognized for her reaction content, which brings in the most views. This consists of her reacting to TikToks and Dhar Mann videos. While she still occasionally records gameplay for shorter games like Pineapple on Pizza, it has become less frequent compared to before.
The drama began in April 2022 when it was reported that SSSniperwolf and her then-boyfriend, Evan Sausage, purchased a $7 million mansion in Arizona. In October, Jacksfilms released a video titled "SSSniperwolf" where he announced his new secondary channel, "JJJacksfilms," claiming he was "inspired" by her reaction content. He even asked his audience to help him get a mansion too.
JJJacksfilms' content had a sardonic tone, featuring videos where John would overlay his face cam onto SSSniperwolf's reaction content and provide commentary. Some viewers criticized him for making his thumbnails resemble hers, even though this is not the first time a creator has faced backlash for their thumbnails. The feud between the two escalated on June 22, 2023, following a post from the YouTube Creators' Twitter account.
Jacksfilms posted screenshots of SSSniperwolf's TikTok reaction videos in response to a tweet. He added a brief caption with an emoji wearing sunglasses, giving a thumbs up, and a heart. Others joined in, accusing SSSniperwolf of stealing ideas and criticizing her content for lacking effort.
On June 28, SSSniperwolf responded with a tweet, saying, "wahhh I can't stand that a female YouTuber is getting more views than me..." She continued with a few more tweets, mentioning that she hasn't seen male react creators face criticism. SSSniperwolf also claimed that Jacksfilms was upset that his alternate channel didn't gain immense popularity. She briefly mentioned his hairline in a deleted tweet. Despite this, she believes that achieving success with her content is more challenging than it appears.
The latest reply comes from a YouTube video that John posted on June 29. In the video, he reads out SSSniperwolf's tweets while simultaneously watching one of her videos. It wouldn't be unexpected for SSSniperwolf to respond with her own video or a contentious tweet.
