YouTube content creator Mark "Markiplier" Fischbach recently disclosed the reason behind spending his birthday in the hospital, which understandably caused concern among his fans. This incident wasn't Markiplier's first hospitalization, as he has openly shared about previous visits. Notably, he chose to create YouTube videos during his recovery from surgery to remove his adrenal gland due to a tumor. Throughout his career, Markiplier's fans have witnessed him seeking medical attention for various issues such as a broken foot and intestinal obstructions, leading to the creation of amusing memes about his misfortunes. Despite his ability to find humor in these jokes, Markiplier takes measures to prioritize his safety and minimize the risk of injuries, even declining participation in content creator boxing events.
On June 28, Markiplier shared an image of himself in the hospital, causing concern among his fans. He explained in a subsequent YouTube video that his eyes had become inflamed due to a deep involvement in a bloody project. Fortunately, the condition was not severe, and his eyes quickly returned to normal. Markiplier, in the video, amusingly reviewed the memes created by his fans, many of which humorously suggested that his red eyes indicated intoxication. He also mentioned that his mother, affectionately known as Momiplier by fans, had initially been worried about his hospitalization. She shared that Markiplier experienced eye inflammation while filming the upcoming movie adaptation of the gripping first-person game, Iron Lung.
There were speculations among fans that Markiplier's appearance covered in blood was related to the Five Nights at Freddy's movie. However, it would make more sense if he was working on Iron Lung since the game involves a moon with a blood-filled ocean. In his recent YouTube video, Markiplier also mentioned that a new trailer for the movie would be released soon, possibly the full trailer after the teaser was launched more than two months ago.
Despite the events that transpired, Markiplier appeared to be in high spirits, which was a relief to many. Alongside the humor surrounding his situation, there were genuine concerns about his well-being, considering other content creators and streamers who have been hospitalized in critical conditions. Hopefully, the filming of Iron Lung will proceed smoothly without further issues, and Markiplier and his team will remain safe and healthy until the completion of the project.
