The Egghead War in One Piece is intensifying as fans witness one of the greatest conflicts in the entire story. The Marines have launched a full-scale assault on the Straw Hat Pirates and Vegapunk, resulting in an increasingly fierce battle.
In a recent showdown, Luffy managed to defeat Admiral Kizaru. However, the true menace on the island is not Kizaru himself, but Saint Saturn, one of the Five Elders. Currently, there is no one on the island with sufficient strength to confront him. Though Luffy is currently incapacitated, he is the only one who stands a chance against Saint Saturn. It's possible that he will soon recover and return to action, providing hope for fans.
Saturn's Arrival On Egghead Island
Recently, Saturn arrived on Egghead Island and initially planned to remain unnoticed and observe the ongoing operation. However, seeing the inefficiency of Kizaru and the Navy in the battle, Saturn decided to take matters into his own hands. Utilizing his Devil Fruit power, he created a massive summoning circle on Egghead Island and transported himself there.
The arrival of Saturn sent shockwaves throughout the island, and even non-combatants could sense the presence of a malevolent being. Saturn then revealed his fully transformed Devil Fruit form, with the lower body of a spider and the upper body of an ox. It is believed that Saturn draws inspiration from the powerful Japanese Yokai known as Ushi Oni. Subsequent chapters explored his abilities, including the power to decapitate and immobilize enemies simultaneously. Additionally, Saturn displayed an astonishingly quick healing factor, as wounds inflicted on him were swiftly healed within seconds. Given his immense power, the Straw Hat Pirates will now have to find a way to fend off Saturn on Egghead Island.
Luffy Vs Kizaru
Luffy has been incredibly occupied on Egghead Island, from battling against the Seraphims to ultimately engaging in a fight with Admiral Kizaru. Upon Kizaru's arrival, Luffy took it upon himself to halt his progress and successfully did so using his powerful Gear 5 transformation. Fans are well aware of the immense power of Gear 5, which certainly lived up to expectations during the fight with Kizaru. Recognizing that he couldn't win in a fair fight, the Admiral strategically targeted Vegapunk instead, avoiding direct combat with Luffy.
Despite Kizaru's efforts, he ultimately failed in his mission and was defeated by Luffy's devastating technique known as the White Star Gun. This attack rendered Kizaru completely immobilized for several minutes. However, it also drained a significant amount of energy from Luffy. It is important to mention that Luffy was intensely occupied immediately upon arriving on Egghead Island. He battled the Seraphims throughout the night and subsequently engaged in combat with Kizaru. Furthermore, Luffy was forced to traverse the Frontier Dome not once, but twice, which further depleted his strength. Ultimately, Luffy was knocked out of his Gear 5 state, but managed to defeat Kizaru before succumbing to exhaustion.
How Luffy Will Get Back To Strength
Luffy needs to regain his strength in order for the survival of the Straw Hat Pirates amidst this difficult situation. Despite Luffy's visible exhaustion in the previous chapter, he must recover his strength to fulfill his role as a Yonko. Luffy's fans have witnessed him become completely depleted in previous battles, such as his encounter with Kaido. During that fight, Luffy reached a point of exhaustion where he temporarily lost his abilities. However, he managed to regain his strength and ultimately succeeded in defeating the formidable Emperor.
Once again, Luffy finds himself faced with the task of confronting Saturn, as he is the only one capable of standing up to him. Zoro is currently engaged in a battle against Lucci, while Saturn has effortlessly immobilized Sanji. Luffy, possessing immense willpower, is the only hope in resisting Saturn's demonic abilities and must regain his strength to do so.
There are two possible ways for Luffy to achieve this. First, he can rely on sheer determination. Fans are well aware of Luffy's ability to overcome seemingly impossible challenges, and this situation should be no different. By accessing Gear 5, he will undoubtedly be able to engage in combat with Saturn, albeit temporarily. Alternatively, Luffy could regain his strength by consuming nourishment. However, obtaining food is currently a formidable task for him. Yet, the advanced technology of Vegapunk could potentially assist him in this matter. If Luffy manages to replenish his energy, he will be restored to a decent power level, enabling him to face Saturn head-on.
Why Luffy Vs Saturn Has To Happen
The clash between Luffy and Saturn is an essential confrontation for various reasons. Firstly, Saturn stands as the island's most formidable adversary, and Luffy consistently seeks out battles against formidable opponents. However, this rationale alone does not sufficiently explain the necessity of this fight. The primary reason why Luffy must face Saturn is due to his identity as Nika, the liberator of slaves. Bonney's flashback strongly emphasizes her desperate wait for a savior, similar to Kuma himself. As previously mentioned, only Nika possesses the ability to free these individuals. Currently, Bonney finds herself in grave danger, and either Kuma himself or Nika are the only ones capable of rescuing her from Saturn's clutches.
Simultaneously, Kuma is also en route to Egghead. While he may initially permit the Straw Hat Pirates to regroup temporarily, ultimately, it is Luffy's responsibility to save not only Bonney but also Kuma. The salvation of these two characters bears tremendous importance, necessitating the participation of Nika. This storyline has been ingeniously set up by Oda and must be executed without fail. Luffy will undoubtedly engage in this battle and ensure the liberation of both Bonney and Kuma, no matter the circumstances.
