When Do Pokémon Horizons Episodes Release?
New episodes of Pokémon Horizons are currently exclusive to the Japanese network TV Tokyo, airing every Friday at 6:55 PM JST. Unfortunately, this timing is rather inconvenient for most viewers, as it translates to 5:55 AM on the U.S. East Coast and 2:55 AM on the West Coast. Additionally, the show is only available in Japanese and does not include subtitles. However, there is a potential solution for satellite TV users who have access to foreign channels, which currently serves as the only legal way to watch the series outside of Japan. While a localized version of Pokémon Horizons has been announced for a 2023 release, no specific date has been disclosed at this time.
What Happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode 13?
Pokémon Horizons Episode 14 Will Introduce Terastallyzation
In episode 13 of Pokémon Horizons titled "A Sudden Picnic," the crew gathered together to enjoy a picnic while waiting for the airship's systems to update. The picnic resembled those in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, featuring familiar ingredients and items that players would easily recognize. During this time, Roy had an encounter with a mischievous Wattrel that snatched his sandwich, leading to a brief face-off. Meanwhile, Liko took steps towards building a stronger bond with Dot by setting up a private picnic for her. The episode concluded with a dramatic twist as a multitude of Magneton, all under the control of Spinel, launched an attack on the airship.
Previously, Professor Friede was seen using a Tera Orb in a battle against a Magneton in episode 14. It is understandable that Friede would go all out against Spinel, especially since Terastallyzing only works in the Paldea region. This could explain why he didn't use it against Amethio before. In the episode preview following episode 13, Roy is shown helping the Wattrel learn how to fly, as it seemed to be incapable of doing so. This heavily implies that Roy will eventually capture this wild Wattrel, making it the first Pokémon caught in the series thus far.
The airship and its crew have yet to reach the Galar region. In order to get the ship up and running, Friede and the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers will have to confront Spinel. After a short break, the action resumes in Pokémon Horizons, with exciting firsts on the horizon. Fans are eager to watch this episode at the earliest opportunity.
