Cillian Murphy, known for his role in Oppenheimer, has been in a relationship with Yvonne McGuinness since they first met in the mid-’90s during the stage production of Disco Pigs. The couple got married in 2004, shortly after Murphy's appearance in the 2001 film adaptation of the show.
Reflecting on that time, Murphy shared in a 2016 interview with The Guardian that the experience of working on Disco Pigs was immensely significant for him. He described it as the most important period of his life, as it not only introduced him to his closest friends but also influenced his personal preferences and career aspirations. It was also during this period that he crossed paths with his now-wife.
The couple went on to welcome two sons soon after exchanging vows: Malachy in 2005 and Aran in 2007.
