The episode began with Zeta raiding a secret facility in search of a unique device, only to find it had already been moved before the Shadow Garden arrived. Cid, mistaking the Black Rose artifact for a flower, expressed a desire to see it, unaware that he was carrying the Ring of Succession, a key that could activate the Black Rose phenomenon.

While walking through the palace, Cid stumbled upon Reina and Perv sharing a romantic moment, sparking an idea to manipulate Rose into believing her mother's betrayal and turning her into a tyrant. Switching to his Shadow persona, Cid met Rose and led her outside of Reina's room to reveal her mother's true nature.

After witnessing her mother betraying her and being romantically involved with her fiancé, Rose was completely traumatized, causing her to faint as she struggled to catch her breath. To add to the drama, Cid transformed back into his true self and started playing the piano outside Rose’s balcony. Before mysteriously leaving once again, he accidentally dropped the Black Rose artifact, which slipped out of his back pocket.

Viewing it as a mysterious message, Rose took possession of the Ring. Perv was horrified to realize he had lost the ring during the wedding ceremony. When asked to marry Perv, Rose refused and exposed the truth about him to the wedding guests.

Rose chose to wear the Ring of Succession left by her father for his daughter. Eventually, several apparitions of the King of Oriana appeared, revealing that he was deceived and drugged by Perv. He declared his decision to entrust the Kingdom to the innocent hands of his daughter, Rose.

Immediately after the projection ended, Perv and Reina were swiftly beheaded by a mysterious figure, revealed to be Mordred, the 9th seated Knight of the Rounds. Using a device sought after by Zeta and her Shadow Garden division, Morded activated the ring and opened the Black Rose portal in the sky above Oriana Kingdom.

From the portal emerged a monstrous being known as Archfiend Ragnarok, the powerful ruler of the Fourth Realm who had previously decimated thousands of Velgatan soldiers in an instant. Shadow made a dramatic entrance by slicing the monster's arm, leaving Mordred filled with fear and astonishment.
