Selena Gomez enlisted the help of her trusted best friend, Taylor Swift, to procure a significant item for her inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit auction. In true Taylor Swift fashion, she went above and beyond to deliver an impressive contribution.

The 33-year-old, 12-time Grammy winner generously donated VIP tickets to her Eras Tour concert for the Rare Impact Fund Benefit’s auction. These exclusive tickets were initially priced at $5,000 but were quickly sold for an impressive $15,000, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

On Wednesday, October 4, in Los Angeles, Gomez, who is 31 years old, joyously celebrated the first annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit: A Night of Radiance and Reflection. This event aimed to support her non-profit organization, the Rare Impact Fund, which focuses on reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and enhancing access to mental health services and education for young people.

"This moment marks the realization of a dream I have nurtured throughout my entire life. However, it has also arisen from some of the most distressing periods I have encountered," shared the ex-Disney Channel celebrity with the audience.

"I battled with the turmoil within my mind for an extensive duration, experiencing a profound sense of aimlessness and despair on occasion. Then, in 2020, I received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and, to be completely truthful, everything swiftly transformed," Gomez added.

The singer/actress has openly discussed her struggles with mental health, which motivated her to establish her charity, Rare Impact.

"I finally gained the knowledge and answers I had been desperately seeking for so long. This understanding has made me more aware of my condition and has reduced my fear. Armed with this knowledge, I was able to seek the necessary support to embrace my true self, rediscover my joy, and today, I am incredibly proud to say that I have achieved that. I am committed to working diligently every day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be alive and present with all of you today."

Martin Short, co-star of Gomez's hit show "Only Murders in the Building," took on the roles of emcee and auctioneer at the event.

"I am truly honored to have Selena Gomez as my dear friend, and not simply because of her incredible success and wealth; it's because she embodies both," expressed the 73-year-old Canadian actor. He further emphasized the significance of the evening by stating, "Tonight holds great importance as we gather here to champion the cause of youth mental health awareness."

"In this room, I believe everyone has been personally affected by mental health and the difficulties it can bring to families. Our goal is to urgently raise funds for the young individuals who require support."

As part of the Only Murders in the Building cast, Stevie Martin took the initiative to auction a signed banjo. Additionally, Paul Rudd, another cast member, generously offered a unique fan experience: an exclusive movie night with him, with a winning bid of $5,000.

In addition to that, the auction also featured a signed jersey from renowned soccer player Lionel Messi and exclusive VIP tickets to Luke Combs' Growin' Up and Gettin' Old concert tour in Los Angeles.

Established by Gomez in 2020, the Rare Impact Fund aims to generate $100 million within the next decade to enhance mental health services for youngsters globally.
