Exes Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall (née Haack) and their spouses got together to celebrate daughter Taylor’s sixth-grade graduation.
Christina, Tarek, and their partners, Joshua Hall and Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young), celebrated their daughter's graduation from 6th grade with an Instagram photo on Tuesday, June 13. In the caption, Christina expressed her pride in their daughter and excitement for 7th grade. Heather also shared the photo on her Instagram Story and congratulated the young graduate. Tarek shared both posts on his Instagram Story.
After their messy split in 2016, Tarek and Christina have not always had a smooth relationship, although they put on a united front for Taylor's graduation while with their respective partners. The couple, who got married in 2009 and welcomed their daughter Taylor in 2010, later premiered their HGTV renovation show Flip or Flop in 2013. In 2015, they welcomed their son Brayden, but after an incident at their California home in May 2016, police were called, and the couple announced their split later that year.
During their divorce, Tarek and Christina continued to cohost Flip or Flop until the show ended in December 2022. However, the ex-couple has not been without their fair share of drama. In July 2021, while filming the show, Tarek and Christina got into a heated argument. Tarek later expressed regret for the incident, acknowledging that both parties used harsh words and wishing it had never happened during an interview with E! News' Daily Pop in September 2021.
At one of Brayden's soccer games in May 2022, tensions between the exes reached a boiling point. The Daily Mail published photos at the time showing Tarek pulling Heather away from Christina on the sidelines. The situation escalated, and the kid's coach had to separate Tarek from Joshua, who had recently married Christina in April 2022. Christina, who was previously married to Ant Anstead, with whom she shares a 3-year-old son, Hudson, was also present. However, the former Flip or Flop co-hosts have since made a conscious effort to co-parent amicably. Christina shared a photo on Instagram of the two couples posing with Taylor, emphasizing that their children come first.
Heather expressed a similar sentiment during that period, sharing a family photo on social media with a caption that read, “Sometimes to drown out the noise, we speak the truth. Co-parenting and doing what’s best for the kids ️.” In a November 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Selling Sunset star also reflected on her relationship with Christina, admitting that it had its fair share of ups and downs. However, Heather emphasized that their mutual love for the children has always been their top priority, regardless of any drama that may have ensued.
