Sydney Sweeney clarified rumors about herself during her Saturday Night Live debut, including her relationship status with Glen Powell.
During her monologue on Saturday, March 2, Sweeney, 26, addressed rumors circulating about her online. She clarified that she does work at Universal Studios and did not hire a nutritionist from TikTok. One of the wildest rumors she debunked was the alleged affair with her costar Glen Powell while filming Anyone But You.
Sweeney and Powell, 35, portrayed Bea and Ben in the romantic comedy inspired by William Shakespeare, released in December 2023. Despite being in public relationships - Sweeney engaged to Jonathan Davino and Powell dating model Gigi Paris - speculation persisted about a possible romance between the two actors during production.
Sweeney shared in her Saturday monologue that she and her fiancé worked together on producing the movie, with him being present throughout the entire shoot. She expressed her love and admiration for him, describing him as the man of her dreams, and reassured everyone that their relationship is still going strong.
She also mentioned that Davino, aged 38, attended her SNL debut to show his support.
Sweeney asked if we could focus on him. The camera then moved to Powell, who was seated in the front row and seemed to be searching for Davino behind him. Powell quickly clarified, "That's not my fiancé! He's in my dressing room!"

In an SNL sketch called "Loud Table," Sweeney and Powell continued to joke about the drama. Euphoria star took on the role of cast member Andrew Dismukes' girlfriend, who was planning to break up with him during a dinner date.
Sweeney’s character confessed, “I cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up,” before Powell entered the scene.
Powell entered the make-believe bar confidently, greeting Sweeney as “babycakes” and inviting her to go with him. They left the room together, holding hands as the skit came to a close.
