Dylan Sprouse wasn't hesitant to assert himself on the set of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as per former costar Kim Rhodes.
Rhodes, 54, shared that both Dylan, 31, and Cole Sprouse always stood up for her on the set of the show. One of her "favorite memories" was when Dylan refused to make a fat joke about her during her pregnancy.
During the episode filming in front of a live studio audience, a conflict arose between the executive producer and 15-year-old Dylan. Rhodes pointed out that it's the director's responsibility to make cuts, and mentioned that the producer tried to pressure Dylan into delivering a line. Despite this, Dylan stood his ground and refused to comply.
"He responded, ‘I wouldn't disrespect any woman like that, especially not this woman. You come up with something funny and I'll deliver it.’ That's my boy," Rhodes shared. "They're both my boys."

In The Suite Life of Zack and Cody from 2005 to 2008, Dylan and Cole portrayed Zack and Cody Martin, while Rhodes portrayed their onscreen mom, Carey Martin. The twins continued their roles in the spinoff series, The Suite Life on Deck, while Rhodes made special guest appearances in four episodes.
Dylan and Cole parted ways with Disney in 2011 due to creative differences, leading to the end of The Suite Life on Deck. "We had a great vision for the show's direction. We were 18 at the time, so we felt confident in our ideas," Dylan explained to Vulture in December 2017. "Unfortunately, Disney wasn't open to collaborating with us, so we had to bring the show to a halt."

With reboot culture taking over Hollywood, fans have been clamoring for Dylan and Cole to revive the Suite Life franchise. However, the twins have firmly rejected the idea.
"I don't think it should be done," Cole stated on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in May 2020. "I think it's really incendiary, there's a huge potential to, kind of, demolish that perfect little golden memory of a program if you go back and revive it."
