Stevie Nicks Reveals Shocking Revelation: Fleetwood Mac's Future Without Christine McVie Remains Uncertain

Stevie Nicks believes Fleetwood Mac's future is uncertain without Christine McVie, expressing her doubts about the band's continuity

In regard to Stevie Nicks, she declares that Fleetwood Mac has ceased to exist. During an interview with Vulture, the singer discussed the journey of her closest friend and bandmate, Christine McVie, who passed away in November 2022 at the age of 79 after a short illness.

According to Nicks, during the band's previous tour named "An Evening with Fleetwood Mac" from 2018 to 2019, they had an incredibly enjoyable experience and it turned out to be a massive tour. Consequently, there is a potential for them to pursue a similar venture in the future. However, Nicks expressed his deep sentiment that it would be impossible to replace Christine after her passing. He emphasized that without her, the essence of the band would be altered significantly.

Nicks expressed, "She was not just my soul mate in music but also my closest friend, whom I spent more time with than anyone else, excluding my friends from Fleetwood Mac."

Reflecting on Taylor Swift's song "You're on Your Own, Kid," particularly the line "you always have been," Nicks compared it to her dynamic with Christine, the other singer-songwriter. "We were always on our own in that band. We constantly looked out for each other."

"Who will I find on my right, only to realize that they won't be there behind that Hammond organ?" she expressed. "After her passing, I realized that we couldn't continue any longer. There's no justification for it."

McVie composed and/or sang several popular songs for Fleetwood Mac, such as "Don't Stop," "Over My Head," "You Make Loving Fun," and "Say You Love Me."
