At Paramore's This Is Why tour, Taylor Swift has always been fond of having surprise guests. However, her friend Hayley Williams has been giving her a tough competition. During the band's performance at Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday, August 7th, Williams, who is 34 years old, invited a local hero to join her on stage for the song "Misery Business" towards the end of the show.

"In just under a minute, a guest from the audience will join us on stage to help us complete the song," Williams announced to the crowd. "When I mention someone from the audience, it could be somebody you know, but I'm not certain. Let's find out, shall we? Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm San Francisco welcome to No. 30, Mr. Steph Curry!"

At 35 years old, Curry has been a devoted fan of Paramore and showcased his admiration by sporting one of the band's hoodies. "Steph and I have known each other for quite a while, and tonight marks our reunion," Williams shared. "Once Steph takes the microphone, this ceases to be just a Paramore performance; it becomes a Steph Curry spectacle."

Williams wasn't joking, as Curry fully embraced his role as a temporary rock star. One fan on Twitter marveled, "He knows every word. He sounds amazing. Steph Curry is a Paramore fan, this is overwhelming for me."

Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry, also attended the show and shared some moments from the evening on her Instagram Stories. "We listened to Paramore on one of our first dates...and many years later, they were kind enough to perform at his 30th," she wrote alongside a video of her husband near the stage. "This is incredibly cool! What a complete circle moment. Thank you @paramore and [Hayley Williams]... 'still into you' made the night for us. Honestly, one of the most unforgettable nights."

Steph and Ayesha, aged 34, got married in July 2011 after first crossing paths during their teenage years. The pair have three children together - daughters Riley, aged 11, and Ryan, aged 8, as well as son Canon, aged 5.

Steph has recently joined Paramore on stage during their ongoing tour, which began in October 2022. In a surprise appearance last month, Billie Eilish performed the song "All I Wanted" at the band's show in Los Angeles.

In May, Williams invited Lil Uzi Vert to perform a duet of "Misery Business" during the group's tour stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Prior to this, Williams had disclosed that she had declined a collaboration with the 28-year-old rapper, before her and the band's hiatus from performing.

"I sent him a direct message on Instagram, expressing my affection and gratitude, but also explaining my reluctance to become excessively famous," Williams shared during a 2020 interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music. "I conveyed that I was planning to take a break and that I was dealing with personal challenges that hadn't been widely known. I just emphasized to him that I needed to retreat from the spotlight and didn't want to be associated with that level of celebrity."
