Improving Enemy Detection in Starfield
Detecting enemies who are hidden, covered, or concealed is an essential skill in numerous RPG games. Unfortunately, in Starfield, the scanner used by the protagonist is not quite effective in unveiling enemies lurking behind walls. Consequently, players have been diligently seeking alternatives and utilizing mods to tackle this obstacle. Luckily, the game does provide a solution in the form of an X-ray-vision ability that allows players to see through walls. However, this ability is not readily accessible in their inventory.
How to See Enemies Through Walls
: A Guide to Acquiring Wall-Penetrating Vision in StarfieldIn order to perceive enemies beyond obstacles, players must acquire the Sense Star Stuff Power. This Power will connect them with the essence of creation, enabling them to detect the vital energy of humans, aliens, and even Starborn individuals concealed behind walls.
Sense Star Stuff is a vision ability that costs 15 to use and can penetrate walls, allowing you to detect hidden enemies. It is important to note that this effect is temporary and enemies will not remain marked after its use. However, as you progress and increase your rank in this Power, its effective radius will expand, revealing a larger number of creatures with each activation. Incorporate Sense Star Stuff into a stealth build to maximize your sneaking abilities.
How to Get the Sense Star Stuff Power
To obtain x-ray vision in Starfield, players must solve the Temple Chi puzzle. To do this, they need to progress through the storyline until the "Into the Unknown" mission and then follow the Power From Beyond quests to trace the Artifacts.
The temple's location is randomly generated, but players have a greater chance of finding it after recovering the Artifact during the Revelation questline.
How to Mark Enemies
Players in Starfield can efficiently track and highlight adversaries by utilizing a Recon Scope or Laser. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to acquire the Targeting skill from the Combat tree. When the skill reaches rank 4, players can mark up to four enemies situated within a 100-meter radius.
It is important to note that, unlike the Sense Star Stuff Power, the ability to mark enemies is restricted to those in clear view. Consequently, players cannot designate targets concealed by walls or obstacles unless they manage to catch a glimpse of them prior to seeking cover.
