Horror auteur Mike Flanagan, known for his highly anticipated adaptation of The Fall of the House of Usher, is now fully dedicated to his Stephen King film The Life of Chuck. This independent project, filmed under a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement, has gathered a talented cast of both renowned stars and rising newcomers. Flanagan recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to unveil the rest of the cast that will join Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill, including a mix of well-known actors and individuals associated with his and Trevor Macy's Intrepid Pictures banner. The first name Flanagan introduced was Taylor Gordon, an acting newcomer who is widely recognized as a popular Instagram influencer and a versatile musician. Flanagan has achieved great success in working with internet stars and newcomers in recent projects, such as TikTok sensation Ruth Codd, who delivered remarkable performances in The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher. Among the established stars on the cast list are Matthew Lillard from Scream, Q'Orianka Kilcher from Color Out of Space, Harvey Guillén from What We Do in the Shadows, and Mia Sara, Benjaman Pajak, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Antonio Raul Corbo, and David Dastmalchian.

'The Life of Chuck' Is a Personal Story for Mike Flanagan
According to Flanagan, who has a history of adapting King stories, "The Life of Chuck" holds significant personal importance and he expresses gratitude for its existence as a film. The story originates from King's anthology "If It Bleeds" and delves into the life of Charles "Chuck" Krantz, beginning with his untimely death at the age of 39 due to a brain tumor, and concluding with his tumultuous childhood in a cursed residence. This narrative explores similar themes found in other series like "Usher" and "The Haunting of Hill House," while also drawing parallels to King's less horrifying, more dramatic works such as "The Shawshank Redemption," "Stand By Me," and "The Green Mile."
