Lillard is “humbled” to be in franchises nearly 20 years later

The actor recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his role in Five Nights at Freddy’s and how it feels to be in this popular video game to movie adaptation.

"For my family, it was a meaningful and enjoyable experience. It's been quite some time since I've had a film shown in theaters, which made it even more special for us," Lillard expressed, "This has been a truly humbling moment in my professional journey."

"At 53, I've had a successful career with a few franchises. I had believed that chapter of my career had come to an end, and I was content with that. I'm still engaged in various exciting projects, and I'm looking forward to what's in store. Having the unexpected opportunity to be part of another impactful franchise is both humbling and thrilling for me, and my children are ecstatic about it."

Lillard takes on two roles in FNaF: Steve Raglan, the career counselor of Mike (played by Josh Hutcherson), and William Afton, the co-founder and owner of Fazbear Entertainment, who is also a serial killer that targeted children at his pizza restaurant.

The film's events are set in motion by his choice to murder multiple children and hide their bodies in the animal animatronic mascots at the restaurant, leading to their vengeful resurrection. For additional movie coverage, browse the articles below:
