Cardi's friends view her as a strong, independent woman who will thrive regardless. However, they also witnessed a deep and genuine love between Cardi and Offset, leading them to hold onto hope for a possible reconciliation. In the meantime, all they can do is offer Cardi their unwavering support and surround her with love.
Cardi, 31, recently revealed during an Instagram Live that she has been single for a while now. "The last time I got on Live... I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn't know how to tell you," Cardi told fans on Sunday, December 10. "So, I was like, 'I changed my mind.' But it has been like this for a while now, and I just took it as a sign."
Cardi also expressed that she is looking forward to starting 2024 with a fresh and open mindset, saying, "I'm curious for a new life, for a new beginning. I'm excited."
She unveiled her new relationship status shortly after Blueface, a fellow rapper, accused 31-year-old Offset of cheating on Cardi with his ex Chrisean Rock in a series of now-deleted tweets. Offset rejected the accusations on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, stating, "I never spoke to or had any contact with that lady. Seriously, man, you need some help!"

Cardi and Offset raised suspicions of a breakup earlier this month when they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Cardi posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story on December 4, insinuating that she was tired of prioritizing other people's feelings and needed to put herself first. On the same day, Offset shared a cryptic post on his Instagram Story, quoting a line from the movie Scarface.
The couple, who have a daughter named Kulture, 5, and a son named Wave, 2, have encountered several infidelity scandals over the years. In December 2018, Cardi announced that she and Offset had separated after one year of marriage following leaked videos that seemed to show Offset in bed with other women. The pair eventually reconciled, but Cardi later filed for divorce in September 2020. However, she withdrew the filing in November.

Earlier this year, Cardi took to social media to address a rumor spread by Offset, accusing her of being unfaithful. "First of all, let me say. You can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all," she said on June 26. "And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!"
