Sofia Richie and her husband, Elliot Grainge, are celebrating the arrival of their baby girl.

In an Instagram post on Friday, May 24, Richie, 25, shared a photo of her newborn daughter's feet with the caption, "Eloise Samantha Grainge 5•20•24 best day of my life."

The model chose to keep her pregnancy a secret until January, when she was already six months pregnant. In an interview with Vogue, she revealed, "I found out very early on, about four weeks into my pregnancy. I was in Milan for fashion week, heading to the Prada show on a quick 24-hour trip. I felt really sick but brushed it off as jet lag."

It was only after realizing she was a few days late on her period that Richie decided to take a pregnancy test.

"Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly," she remembered. They had been "casually trying" since their wedding in April 2023. "He didn't react much when I mentioned I was checking. I used one of those not-so-great at-home tests, and there was a very faint line. I had seen so many negatives that I could tell when something seemed a little different."

Grainge, 30, picked up more pregnancy tests for Richie, and she subsequently took three at the same time, which all came back positive.

She was filled with excitement and tears of joy when she found out. It was such a whirlwind of emotions that she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. Despite wanting to shout it from the rooftops, she held back because she was still in the early stages of pregnancy and wanted to be cautious, even with her close friends.

Richie explained why she chose to keep her pregnancy private in the beginning. She shared, "Pregnancy can be quite daunting and you feel the need to protect that special time." She reflected on the numerous milestones and tests that come along with being pregnant, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding their mental well-being and maintaining privacy as a couple.

In another part of the interview, Richie playfully mentioned her due date, suggesting that her daughter would be born as a "Gemini baby." Gemini individuals celebrate their birthdays from May 21 to June 20.

Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Richie posted a TikTok video revealing the baby's gender. Grainge set off a pink confetti cannon while Richie joyfully ran around and embraced a surprised Grainge. She jokingly apologized to her neighbors for her loud scream in the caption of the clip.

Richie and Grainge were first linked in January 2021. They announced their engagement in April 2022 and tied the knot one year later in a lavish ceremony in France.
