It is reasonable to assume that the game is still at least a year away, especially since the Silent Hill 2 remake is anticipated to be released in 2024. It seems improbable that both games would be launched in the same year.

When it comes to platforms, no specific ones were mentioned during the initial announcement, but it's safe to assume that the game will be available on PC, Xbox, and PS5. However, it seems less likely that it will be released on last-gen platforms as we move further away from its launch. As the trailer transitions between different scenes, it transforms into what could possibly be the Otherworld, a distorted reflection of the seemingly safe world where the characters in Silent Hill games typically originate.
The sound of piano music fills the air as the world around her crumbles. A young woman, no longer in mourning, runs for her life from an unknown danger. The trailer then shifts to another girl, floating across still, foggy waters on a raft made of bright flowers. The flowers seem to grow from her head, reminiscent of the haunting finale of Midsommar, but it takes a more gruesome turn as the girl's face peels off like a sticker. Disgusting.

Why is it called Silent Hill F?
The project's unusual name does not seem to be just a working title. Instead, it could be a nod to sheet music, with the "f" in the game's logo representing the symbol for forte, meaning loud. Musicians use this symbol in their sheet music to indicate that a section should be played loudly. The haunting piano music that gradually increases in tempo and volume throughout the trailer suggests that the story may involve music, or possibly even revolve around a musician - perhaps the girl seen mourning at the start of the trailer attends a school for aspiring musicians.

On top of all that, Silent Hill 2 is also being adapted into the third movie in the series. It's a thrilling time to be a Silent Hill fan.
