Sherri Shepherd is celebrating her 57th birthday and embracing the next chapter of her life.

Shepherd shared her thoughts on aging and confidence while attending the QVC Women’s Summit in Las Vegas. She expressed how inner confidence comes with wisdom and life experiences, including moments of falling and getting back up again. Shepherd believes that true confidence comes from knowing oneself and embracing one's voice, something she feels more strongly about now in her 50s compared to her earlier years.

Shepherd mentioned that she is feeling the best she has in years by including more walking and eating healthy in her daily routine. She humorously commented that she feels the pressure to work out regularly and consume protein, as social media suggests that without doing so, she might not survive, especially compared to 20-year-olds.

Shepherd, host of the daytime talk show Sherri, which has been renewed for a third season, stated that she is focused on moving forward and not dwelling on the past.

She expressed her desire to impact young women and share her life lessons, emphasizing the importance of empowering women over 50. Attending the QVC summit, which introduced the Age of Possibility platform, resonated with her perspective.

Reflecting on her female role models, Shepherd shared a conversation she had with Joan Rivers before her passing in 2014. Rivers told her, "Funny girls always work," inspiring Shepherd to continue being funny for years to come.

Shepherd recently shared her new perspective on life, following her announcement of undergoing a breast reduction procedure several months ago.

During an episode of Sherri in October 2023, Shepherd expressed her joy over the decision, stating, "I'm so happy that I did it. I was a 42DD." She humorously added, "I thought I was carrying around the weight of the world — but really it was the weight of my boobs. All jokes aside, they were so heavy, I was slouching all the time. It started becoming really painful. My back was hurting very badly."

Shepherd mentioned that she felt extremely light after the procedure. She expressed, "I feel great. I won't say I wish I had done this sooner because timing is crucial. God gave them to me, they were good to me but now, as I age, I can stand up straight."
