Shaun White Teases Exciting June Plans and Paris Olympics Participation (Exclusive)

Discover Shaun White's upcoming projects as he hints at something special for June while preparing to make his mark at the Paris Olympics after retiring from snowboarding in 2022.

Shaun White is embracing retirement and keeping busy with exciting activities. He is eager to share all the details of his new chapter in life. During a tasting event for CVS' new snack line Well Market on Broome Street in New York City on Thursday, May 16, 2024, White shared, "It's been a significant change in my life, but not too overwhelming. I have always valued my time away from the mountain just as much as my time on the mountain. Now, I can explore other interests, travel for leisure, and simply enjoy this retirement phase."

White announced his retirement from snowboarding after the 2022 Winter Olympics. Despite this, he still sees himself as "technically" retired because he is involved in various new projects.

He hinted at upcoming ventures in June, stating, "I have a lot of things in the pipeline. We will be making a major announcement soon, so keep an eye out for that."

White's daily routine may vary, but he shared that he still manages to work out every day, despite advice from fellow athletes to take it easy. He admitted that he only does exercises he enjoys, without pushing himself too hard for competition. He also mentioned his involvement in creating his own clothing brand, Whitespace, which includes outerwear, underlayer boards, goggles, and more. This allows him to work on different products while staying connected to the sport without the pressure of competition.

White has played a key role in creating gear for a group of young riders, expressing his joy in seeing them succeed. The three-time Olympic gold medalist shared that he felt like a "proud dad" witnessing the achievements of the athletes he has been backing.

Apart from his ongoing projects, White is looking forward to accompanying his girlfriend Nina Dobrev to the upcoming Paris Olympics in July.

He joked about Dobrev's French skills, mentioning that she speaks pretty fluent French but she says she just dabbles in it. He also mentioned that her mom lives in the South of France. They plan to visit during the Olympics and hang out. White loves the Summer Olympics because there is no pressure on him to perform.

White is currently enjoying his new work ventures, including his partnership with CVS. Their new snackline, Well Market, offers a variety of treats such as popcorn, cookies, trail mix, and more. He is excited about the new opportunities that come with this collaboration.

Snacking has always been a regular part of my training and daily routine when I'm riding. It's interesting because it's challenging to pack snacks that won't crumble after a few runs on the mountain," White shared about his favorite snacks. "I usually bring trail mix or bars to keep me fueled. One of my top picks is these trail mix bites that I really enjoy."
