Shaun White and Nina Dobrev's Journey Through His Post-Retirement Bucket List

Shaun White and his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, have been enjoying themselves by crossing things off his bucket list ever since he retired.

"It's been a blast spending time together. Usually, I'm busy competing and she's working on a project, but now we have some quality time together," White, 37, shared exclusively with We while promoting the new CVS snack line Well Market at a tasting event in New York City on Thursday, May 16.

The Olympic gold medalist revealed that before retiring, he created a list of things he wanted to do. He and Dobrev, 35, are now working their way through the list.

"It has been a great experience," White shared. He mentioned that most of the activities on the list involve traveling for pleasure rather than work. "We have traveled to Antarctica, Dubai, visited her mom in France, went to Monaco, and explored Indonesia," he added. "We have been to many different places."

White shared that one of the things on his bucket list is reconnecting with friends. He mentioned that he is now savoring the simple joys of life after years filled with busy schedules and rigorous training sessions.

He expressed his desire to be present for special occasions like Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, and holidays. These are the moments that he used to overlook while fully dedicated to his competitive goals.

White may not be competing anymore, but he and Dobrev, his partner since 2020, are looking forward to going to Paris for the Olympics this summer.

White shared that Dobrev has a plan to visit her mom who lives in a beautiful town in the South of France. He also mentioned that Dobrev speaks French pretty fluently, although she may not appreciate him saying so.

While White is looking forward to watching the summer Olympics with his girlfriend, he confessed that he still experiences some FOMO while watching it.

According to White, the atmosphere at the Olympics is intense and palpable. He described it as being surrounded by a thick energy that fills the air. Whether in the stadiums or arenas where the athletes compete, White emphasized feeling the pressure and excitement that comes with the event.

White, in addition to checking off items on his bucket list in retirement, has partnered with CVS to promote their new snack line, Well Market.

He expressed his fondness for CVS, describing it as a fun and convenient one-stop shop for all his needs. When approached about the launch of the tasty snacks and beverages line, he was impressed. Upon trying the products, he realized that it was not just any ordinary line of snacks - the attention to detail and thought put into each item was evident.
