The official website of the Shaman King: Flowers anime unveiled the second promotional video for the series on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. The video also revealed that the premiere of Shaman King: Flowers is set for 12 am JST on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Shaman King: Flowers, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei, serves as a sequel to the original Shaman King manga series. Serialization of the sequel manga began in Shueisha's Jump X in April 2012 and was compiled into six tankōbon volumes. Shortly thereafter, an anime adaptation by Bridge was announced.
Shaman King: Flowers announces release date with new PV
The anime Shaman King: Flowers' official X account released its second promotional video on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. The new video announced that the anime is scheduled to debut on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 12 am JST on TV Tokyo.
In the video, it was revealed that 14 years had passed since Hao became the Shaman King. Despite Hana Asakura's potential, he was unable to use his powers. This prompts members of the Asakura Family branch, Yohane and Luca, to challenge and ultimately kill Hana's father, Yoh Asakura, in a bid to become the main family. As a result, Hana is thrust into a new shaman fight.

Furthermore, the promotional video provided a sneak peek at two new characters - Kamogawa Yohsuke and the previous Shaman King Fra YVS. Fra YVS is an antagonist to Hao and is the deity responsible for creating the modern world. He strongly believes that the world he created is a perfect utopia. On the other hand, Kamogawa Yohsuke collaborates with Fra YVS and freely manipulates things using the YVS cards.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, known for his roles as Inosuke Hashibira in Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer and Fuutarou Uesugi in The Quintessential Quintuplets, and Nobuyuki Hiyama, known for his roles as Hiei in Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Ikkaku Madarame in Bleach, are part of the voice cast for the new anime adaptation of Shaman King. Saki Endou will be returning to voice Kanna Bismarch, Kei Shindou will be returning to voice Marion Phauna, and Wakana Minami will be returning to voice Matilda Matisse. All three characters were former followers of Hao Asakura - the current Shaman King.

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the upcoming Shaman King: Flowers anime. The original Shaman King series was a huge part of my childhood, and I've been eagerly awaiting this sequel for years. The new trailer looks amazing, and I can't wait to see what the story has in store for us. I'm especially excited to learn more about the new characters, Kamogawa Yohsuke and Fra YVS. They both seem like really interesting and complex characters, and I can't wait to see how they interact with the rest of the cast.
I also appreciate that the anime is staying true to the original manga series. The story and characters are all very faithful to the source material, and I think that fans of the manga will be really happy with the anime adaptation. Overall, I'm incredibly excited about Shaman King: Flowers and I can't wait to watch it when it premieres in January 2024.
