The Pokemon Company has announced that the upcoming storyline in the Pokemon Horizons anime will showcase Terapagos, the newly introduced Legendary Pokemon from the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC.
The latest installment of the Pokemon Horizons series is about to kick off, with Terapagos taking center stage in the upcoming season. With this exciting development, Liko and Roy will have the opportunity to delve into the enigmatic world of this new Pokemon, potentially unveiling its secrets ahead of its appearance in the video games.
Terapagos, a new Legendary Pokemon, is set to make its debut in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC. Despite its upcoming arrival, very little is known about this mysterious Pokemon, including its type. However, what we do know is that Terapagos possesses two distinct forms: Normal Form and Terastal Form. In its Normal Form, Terapagos resembles a small turtle with a crystal shell, while its Terastal Form is an enormous turtle with a shell adorned with symbols representing various Pokemon types.
Interestingly, the Normal Form of Terapagos has already made an appearance in Pokemon Horizons. It was initially seen as Liko's pendant, but once awakened, it took on a more active role as a recurring character. It embarked on exciting adventures alongside Liko and Roy throughout the Paldea region.

According to Famitsu, the upcoming chapter of the Pokemon Horizons anime will revolve around Terapagos. Titled "Terapagos' Shine," this new storyline is scheduled to premiere next week in Japan. Although the release date for the Indigo Disk DLC has yet to be confirmed, the narrative will explore Roy's quest for knowledge regarding a legendary Pokemon trainer named Lucius, who once possessed a rare black Rayquaza. Lucius' Pokemon are scattered across the world, and as the black Rayquaza remains sought after by rival trainers, it still plays a crucial role in the pursuit of Lucius' legacy. Terapagos is determined to locate a sacred place connected to Lucius, which serves as the continuation of the story.
There are still unanswered questions about Terapagos, as the trailers for the Indigo Disk DLC have not provided much information about this new Legendary Pokemon. The Pokemon Horizons anime might reveal details about Terapagos before the games do, assuming it is similar to the one in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
The Shine arc of Terapagos is going to start soon in Japan, but it will likely take until next year for the English version to catch up. If the Indigo Disk DLC is released before the end of 2023, the English release will follow afterwards. Therefore, fans will have to avoid spoilers for the next few months in order to maintain the intrigue surrounding this new Legendary Pokemon.
