Senate Aide's Departure Amid Alleged Sex Tape Recorded in Senate Hearing Room

A Senate staffer loses employment following the release of a video allegedly depicting explicit activity between two individuals inside a Senate hearing room

A Senate staffer has lost their job following the release of a video that appears to show two men engaging in sexual activity in a Senate hearing room. Police are currently investigating the video, which was obtained and published by the Daily Caller.

CNN has not been able to source the video independently or verify the identity of those who are said to be involved.

According to The Daily Caller, the staffer was employed by Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin's office. CNN has contacted Cardin's office and was referred to a statement by Aidan Maese-Czeropski posted on LinkedIn.

Maese-Czeropski expressed, "I have faced challenges due to my personal choices being used against me for political reasons. Although I acknowledge past errors in judgement, I am dedicated to my job and would never undermine the integrity of my workplace. I am currently considering my legal options in this situation."

Cardins office later released a statement announcing that Maese-Czeropski is "no longer employed by the U.S. Senate."

CNN has reached out to Maese-Czeropski and has not received a response.

CNN contacted the US Capitol Police, who stated that they could not confirm details about the individuals in the video but are aware and investigating. CNN also reached out to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's office but has not received a response.
