Amanza Smith, the star of Selling Sunset, recently shared with her Instagram followers that she has been hospitalized for a few days due to a blood infection. The 46-year-old celebrity revealed the news on June 11th via a video montage set to “Titanium” by David Guetta and Sia. Amanza explained that her health problems started a month ago with severe pain in her lower back, which she initially thought was due to a slipped disc. However, after undergoing an MRI and a CT scan, she was advised to go to the hospital for additional testing.

After being admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this month, the real estate pro discovered that she had an infection in her blood. This infection had caused a significant amount of damage to the bones in her spine, resulting in a condition known as osteomyelitis, she explained in her Instagram post. Fortunately, she was receiving treatment at one of the best hospitals in the world, and every doctor and nurse was working tirelessly to provide her with the care she needed to recover.

The actress shared that her doctors suspected a tumor as the infection resembled one on her MRI. She expressed her fear and how she has been undergoing antibiotic treatment for the same. Updating her fans on her health, she mentioned that she is still experiencing pain and is set to undergo surgery to remove the areas of the infection that were not healing. Despite the discomfort, she remains optimistic that the surgery will alleviate her back pain.

Smith's video showcased glimpses of her personal life, featuring a missed call from Mary Fitzgerald, her Selling Sunset co-star, and a heartwarming FaceTime conversation with her son. The doting mother of two, who shares a daughter named Noah and a son named Braker with her ex Ralph Brown, also shared a screenshot of the missed call and the FaceTime session on her Instagram.

Smith received an outpouring of support from her friends and colleagues, including several agents from The Oppenheim Group who sent their best wishes for her health. Kayla Cardona, who stars on Selling the OC, wrote, "You're so strong Mama, sending you so much love ️," while her costar Alexandra Jarvis added, "Praying for your complete recovery!" After confirming that she was cancer-free following a benign biopsy, Smith's recent blood infection has come as a shock. In season 6 of Selling Sunset, she had disclosed that she had been delaying the biopsy after a peculiar scan of her uterus. However, in May, Smith informed her fans that she was healthy and content. She took to Instagram to express gratitude towards everyone who had wished her well and assured them that the results of her biopsy had come out benign.
